Can't you just answer the questions honestly, and get there ? There being 500k.

What can they ask you that you can't answer, and makes you decide to quit ?

Did you cheat on your wife while married to her( she's sitting there) might be one ?

What worse than that can they ask, that causes you to quit ?

You may not know what the capital of Uruguay is ... ala Jeopardy.... but you should be able to honestly answer stuff you know the answer to !

Did you ever cheat on your wife ?
Have you ever masturbated while driving an automobile ?
Have you engaged in any sexual act with an animal, was there penetration ?

What can they axe that you can't honestly answer ?

These contestants get control questions, then answer the embarrasing queries, some quit well before the top score, but know the answers, they have to.

Those final questions must be really bad !

cheating on a spouse, and penetrating a bovine are about the best I can come up with !

Its gotta be wicked for people to quit at 100k !

I live in costa rica and did not catch the show, but have seen the previews. I mean if they have your wife out there watching you and the question comes out, have you ever cheated on your wife and you dont answer, isnt that really an admission of guilt and wouldn't your wife be pissed off at you no matter what? I mean, if someone without shame goes on there, they would obviously win the top prize.

I honestly don't see what they can do to make you lie? And even if you lie, the truth comes out....what is the difference.....

The only gamble is if they ask you a question you don't really know the answer to....such as, did you have chicken for lunch on August 23rd, 2007.

Well, i don't know how bad it can get.....

Have you ever masturbated while imagining your wife's mother or sister?

not on yet in hawaii....but i remember the girls....yes, little sis was HOT!

Exactly ! You might as well say yes (if true) at that point. Something (control questions ?) is stopping people, and making them stop at 100k.

Those last questions must be real bad !

I want to know what these questions are that stop people ?

I am fairly confident that the show uses actors and not real contestants. Fox is know for moves like this. The "contestants" on Are You Smarted than a 5th grader are all actors. You can always tell if they are actors if you can not find an application to be on the show on the networks web pages.

It's pretty much Yes/No stuff.... that is presumably lie detactable.

I couldn't tell you what I ate for dinner on a date 10 years ago, so I'm not lying if I claim to not recall.

yup, tan, nice face, i think she was a model if im not mistaken

she wasnt a model....she is a pagent contender and wins them..(all the same though)

Jus thought I would help....I have a cousin who is a stage prop man on the show.

To enlighten more on the idea that the questions get harder as they go.....

I dont know what the questions are...but if the show is REAL...they do EXTENSIVE research on your family and pick specific people based on these things (addiction/marriage/jobs/etc.etc)

ALSO- ALL Questions are done PRIOR to the show...they are asked (Im not positive on this) 200 questions via lie detector one week before taping. So every contestant knows all 200 Questions....They also can guess which ones are more controversial rather than others (im sure of this) .....then the SHOW picks the 21 questions (or how many there is ) out of the batch of 200 that were asked.

EVERY QUESTION has been asked during the pre-lie dector, THAT is how the show knows wether the answer is true or false...The people arent actually hooked up to a lie detector live on the show.

So that itself makes u even MORE WONDER why someone wouldnt continue, if they already know the question is coming.

ALSO if u LOSE in this game U ARE A MORON....as someone mentioned before u MUST answer the question once it is asked...U cannot take the money and run once u choose to move forward and hear next question....So if they ask "have u ever fantasized about a co-worker" , and the guy says no (because his wife is there) the lie detector will know the truth and he will be exposed anyway...so dont go on the show unless u are willing to let it all hang out...WHICH ONCE AGAIN.....EVERY!!! question is asked prior to show...so there shouldnt be any surprises.

It does look like a great show so far, and addicting, but alittle slow , and the show manages to pay very little out, considering most guest take up entire shows and then some....(very smart on producers, Obviously)

another stupid realty show that is totally fake. Think about it for 500k theres isnt a question they could ask you that you wouldnt tell the truth about, even if was cheating on your wife. So just tell everybody in advance what bad things you have done.
Also how do they prevent the person whos never done anything wrong in life from playing and winning the money?
Solid fake show and if people believe its true, then they accomplished what they set out to do, entertain all the mushes.

I meant no way i wouldn't come out with 500K

By the way its 50 questions before the show not 200

The last contestant who answered that he didnt stuff his underwear ever, was "lying" according to the lie detector, but no way in fuck would this guy have lied about something so silly, when he already said the truth about, his Girlfriend being boring, stealing tips, adding on money to customers, making racial jokes about GF's family

The Lie detector and show are obviously flawed

Wow did a little Wiki search and boy is the Polygraph test bullshit:

There is little scientific evidence to support the reliability of polygraphs. Despite claims of 90% - 95% reliability, critics charge that rather than a "test", the method amounts to an inherently unstandardizable interrogation technique whose accuracy cannot be established. A 1997 survey of 421 psychologists estimated the test's average accuracy at about 61%, a little better than chance.[13] Critics also argue that even given high estimates of the polygraph's accuracy a significant number of subjects (e.g. 10% given a 90% accuracy) will appear to be lying, and would unfairly suffer the consequences of "failing" the polygraph. In the 1998 Supreme Court case, United States v. Scheffer, the majority stated that “There is simply no consensus that polygraph evidence is reliable” and “Unlike other expert witnesses who testify about factual matters outside the jurors' knowledge, such as the analysis of fingerprints, ballistics, or DNA found at a crime scene, a polygraph expert can supply the jury only with another opinion...”.[14] Also, in 2005 the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals stated that “polygraphy did not enjoy general acceptance from the scientific community”.[15] In 2001 William G. Iacono, Distinguished McKnight University Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience and Director, Clinical Science and Psychopathology Research Training Program at the University of Minnesota, published a paper titled “Forensic “Lie Detection": Procedures Without Scientific Basis” in the peer reviewed Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice. He concluded that “Although the CQT[clarify] may be useful as an investigative aid and tool to induce confessions, it does not pass muster as a scientifically credible test. CQT theory is based on naive, implausible assumptions indicating (a) that it is biased against innocent individuals and (b) that it can be beaten simply by artificially augmenting responses to control questions. Although it is not possible to adequately assess the error rate of the CQT, both of these conclusions are supported by published research findings in the best social science journals (Honts et al., 1994; Horvath, 1977; Kleinmuntz & Szucko, 1984; Patrick & Iacono, 1991). Although defense attorneys often attempt to have the results of friendly CQTs admitted as evidence in court, there is no evidence supporting their validity and ample reason to doubt it. Members of scientific organizations who have the requisite background to evaluate the CQT are overwhelmingly skeptical of the claims made by polygraph proponents.”[16] Polygraph tests have also been criticized for failing to trap known spies such as double-agent Aldrich Ames, who passed two polygraph tests while spying for the Soviet Union.[17] Other spies who passed the polygraph include Karl Koecher,[18] Ana Belen Montes,[19] and Leandro Aragoncillo.[20] Noted pseudoscience debunker Bob Park recently commented, "The polygraph, in fact, has ruined careers, but never uncovered a single spy."[21]

So let me get this straight, At BEST its 10% wrong?!

WTF of course over the course of 21 questions than the fucking machine will get 1 or 2 questions wrong, hence the "false" aswers

No other way anyone on this show will lie, as stated before the Real answer will anyways be revealed
