At the chance that Wil or other Mods will pipe in saying I'm a stuck record posting something We all know, every so often a post will surface about giving up Gambling and having a better life now that they are free of it. I've seen 100s of Punters go down the slippery slope and I myself have had My moments but the real key to it all is understanding at the outset what your trying to achieve. Leaving aside the incessant monotonous grind that people dont mention in being serious in Betting, one should treat it like any other Hobby, Golf, drinking, Womanising etc.
Its hardly mentioned anywhere the effects of over doing any other aspect of Life and while Gambling can put you in serious difficulty quicker than any it must be seen as just another indulgence that should be modified. The problem with Sites like this is it gives the impression that all you have to do is put your Money down to collect and betting smart will lead to riches where the majority of Posters would rather have a more loser friendly approach to strategies as they are not so foolish to think that they can make a living out of this Game but just make their entertainment Money go further.
So less posts on winning but rather how to avoid losses would be more enjoyable to the majority of readers and less stressful overall. :drink:

A most sensible post, even though cuming from across the pond.

I can especially relate to that last item, and, of course, betting.

Any free tips on shagging in Thailand, aside from being on the watch
for Ladyboys?

You better have a bunch of Entertainment Money to begin with and manage it properly..and no matter how much you wager, 10 bucks or 1000 bucks, each wager should not put you in jeopardy of chasing the next wager...I had a nice bet on the Pats the other day and lost, but it was my opinon and I wasn't following anyone and didn't listen to any touts..and sometimes you can bet with your heart...lots of cliches in this business of gambling, and I think Winbet is on to something here..it is only gambling, pure and simple, just a hobby!

Just like in gambling, try and shop for the best number...inanotherwords, there is always something better around the corner...don't go for the first lady you meet...I swear to you there are thousands to choose from! Just a tip from someone who has been there a few times...:drink:

My philosophy on the subject has become one of preservation of bankroll, as a first and foremost requirement. Winnng is nice, but waking up the next morning with bankroll is even nicer. Should I win great, if not, well I got bank for the next event. Live to fight the next battle is my motto.

Whats really amusing about all the posters on the whole internet is the fact that if you stopped by all these peoples houses their lifes wouldnt be filled with all the riches they say they make from gambling, nor would they be really betting the amounts they all brag about that they are betting.

only wager with your risk capital.

and remember that gambling involves risk, especially if you don't know what you are doing.
