Zeppelin is a classic, Pearl Jam is pretty good, Metallica is the most overrated band in history IMO. They are good but not great and I think alot of their music sounds alike. That's just my opinion anyway.

still a hell of a lineup , but don't false advertise ...

"And rumors of a Led Zeppelin appearance at Bonnaroo are true (sort of), with all-female Zeppelin cover band Lez Zeppelin set to take the stage."

Is that really the lineup? Looks awesome. Kanye is my favorite rapper. O.A.R. is the best band no one has heard of. They are a top 10 all-time for me. Talib Kwali and Lupe Fiasco are two more of my favorite rappers and both actually have important things to say. Even though people only know the radio song that Against Me! put out, that band has some excellent political and sociological tunes. Willie Nelson is an all-time great.

That looks like an incredible list of bands.

I agree. Ive been every year so far. I will pass this year. Metallica, Pearl Jam and Kanye. I cant believe either of these 3 are playing Bonnaroo. Destroys the whole idea behind the festival. Did MTV or Starbucks buy bonnaroo? Mediocre Music for the Masses should be the name this year.

What's the story behind this anyway? This has been going on for a while? What's the history? Where is it?

2007-Police, Tool, White Stripes, Widespread
2006-Radiohead, Tom Petty
2005-Widespread, Dave Mathews

What is so different then the past 3 years?

Like it or not we are forever stuck together as the only two people in America who thought Mario Williams was a good choice at the time.

I don't hate them... I just think they get more credit than they deserve.

It's in Manchester, TN..just outside of Nashville. It's basically a Hippie fest..

I think it started back in the 1800's

I would pay money if I could never hear the Police or Tom Petty again in my life. It has gradually gotten away from innovative, jam-type, unique music that you dont hear everyday on the radio. I think Radiohead is one of the most unique and interesting bands in decades. Tool is at least innovative.

I will wager coin that this festival is abandoning its fan base and will not be able to GIVE away tickets in the coming years. I bet this year will be its lowest draw yet.

Metallica is great if you are a meathead military rapist or something.

Everybody has different tastes in music. I wouldn't listen to Kanye ever and I absolutely hate rap music.
