Ugly duckling is a Poker.com skin, i think carbon poker is the big name on that network. not enough players for my tastes. hard to deposit as well..tournys are like $1500 guarantees.

You really dont have but 4 major choices.
Full Tilt
Poker Stars
Absolute
Ultimatebet

#1 IF u play cash games at all sign up somewhere you will get rakeback...MUST go thru a rakeback site BEFORE you download software or you will be ineligible for the rakeback.

If your a small player say $1 to $25 avg game id go with Stars.Nowhere else can u play for $35k pool with $10 or a $100,000 pool for $10. There is no rakeback available to stars so dont bother looking...

Full Tilt seems to cater to $25 and up players...they have smaller games but not as many or nearly as much money in them. They do have rakebak avail...

Absolute and UB are the same company but different software..both site are in scandals from cheating ,stealing and allowing bots,etc......To me there are better places to play but they do have a badbeat jackpot at both....just cant trust em not to steal it for themselves...

Traffic at all the other sites is really low...less than 5000 players at their peak times. sng's take forever to fill, sometimes theres maybe 1 table of ur level in cash games so table selection is nil........

I havent mentioned bodog cus u cant play there from Canada...

Most people have accts at both FT and PS and play the games they like at the site they like....probably the best way to go....

I would stick to stars and FT. Do not trust Absolute/UB

Unless you're bonus chasing--which sucks these days--stick to the main sites

The $25 games on any site will suck

Naa actually at the smaller sites my experiance has been they have their core of regulars who are half decent players and at a 9 man table there are usually 6 of em at least...Your more likely to find new players at the big sites.
They have at Stars $1-$6 18/45 man sng's ..if these are not beginning players then im a democrat. I cant beat em dont get me wrong but for a player with any kind of good luck these are a great learning ground

I've downloaded the Sportsbook.com software as I had some money there and they seem to have plenty of tables going and have freerolls daily. I was surprised to see so many players at their site.

Carbon is perfect for you then. The low traffic shouldn't bother you. Mostly low limit action. Decent freerolls value in freerolls given out if you play a certain # of raked hands----check this out:

$1,000 Freerolls

Every Monday through Friday, CarbonPoker.com holds a $1,000 freeroll for players that have earned at least 1000 comp points in the previous 72 hours prior to the tournament start time.

$2,000 Freeroll

Every Saturday at 15:00, CarbonPoker.com holds a $2,000 freeroll for players that have earned at least 1000 comp points in the previous 72 hours prior to the tournament start time.

$50,000 Freeroll

On the last Sunday of every month at 15:00, carbonpoker.com will run a $50,000 Freeroll that is open to all players who earn 5000 comp points so far in the current month.

This is a perfect place to deposit a small amount and grind your way up.
I've never heard of anyone having problems there. They have bonuses from time to time which clear kind of slowly. I haven't played there in over a year but previous experience with them was very good. Hope this helps.

On the other hand if table/game selection is important to you then choose Poker Stars or Full Tilt. No question there. I also heard that Party has soft games.

Did pokerlistings have a bonus code for Carbon? (They call them coupons I think)

.....Wait dude. Before you sign up check out pokersourceonline.com. If you sign up with them, deposit $50 and earn 4500 comp points you get a reward (last I checked you can get an amazon gc for about $100). Awesome site.

Before i signed up thru any site id call the poker site and make sure the offers still stand...I got screwed royally by POKERLISTINGS when their Absolute poker ad was like 2 years old and the bonus it said they had was no longer available...They still get a % of my losses but i get the royal pokerlistings shaft......
Not to mention bonuses are available anywhere, what you want to sign up for is rakeback.........

Pokerlistings sucks. Just go to pokersourceonline and get free money at a major site
