Mini Mac should I buy this?

Was on the phone to get someone out to look at my pc and said hell for that price I should buy a $500 laptop like has been suggested on this forum numerous times and she suggested this.

Anyone have a minimac out there?

You won't regret getting a mac. I have a friend who owns a mini mac and I've used it in the past. Very cool and stylish but you want to make sure you've got a decent monitor to use it with.

I plan on buying one of the new-style imacs in the near future.

I have had a mini mac for two years. It's a great little device especially if you already have decent other stuff (monitor, keyboard, printer). If your other stuff is close to needing an upgrade, I would consider spending twice that amount and getting the Imac.

I just bought it off e-bay.

Got the 22GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM for $663 out the door.

Seems pretty trick to me and i don't need the whistles and bells as my daughter has Mac laptop for the music,pictures etc.

Was told can use a dvd player as monitor so makes it portable.

Jury will be out and we shall see.

mini mac is nice.i have one in my office. the biggest thing is getting the right monitor for it. otherwise you might as well got a pc. you will not regret buying it thats for sure.

Is it an LCD (flatscreen) monitor or one of the older CRT ones? What size?

I would recommend this to anyone who already has a keyboard, mouse and monitor.

If not, just buy an iMac.

No lcd it is a boat.

The lady told me any mouse and screen.

Sure it will work with "any" screen, mouse and keyboard but to really get the most out of a mac it should be on a higher quality monitor. In this case I would recommend getting an imac instead of the mini mac.

mac is the best you wont regret it....i got one of those new imacs 20' inch and its just too good, had a friend who owned a mini mac never had a complain about it...

God I hate Macs. But if it's for a kid or you don't really do much with the machine, it's a good choice

Lot to learn as far as navigation but so far pretty cool.

Hell even corrects my spelling!
