Hairspray - both versions - is a great movie.

Anyone who would think it's "racist" is more than a bit thick on recognizing parody and oh yeah - the fact the storyline takes place in the mid 1960s.

About two years ago, the SheBar cashed in some owed chips and dragged me to the theatre to see "Shall We Dance" with J-Lo and Richard Gere.

I only relented on accounta I figure I'm going to get to see J-Lo in some tightass outfits.

The movie was so bad that my wife was the one about an hour in who says to me, "Let's blow this joint and go to a blues bar"

Girlfriend rented it and I thought to myself Great...I'm gonna sleep...
