So, I'm glad The Band got a lifetime achievement award, but couldn't they have given it to them before they all died? I'm a younger guy, so I have two recollections of the band: the first was at the MSG Bob Dylan tribute where they played "when I paint my masterpiece" (I think it was just garth and levon?) and the second was the first time I saw The Last Waltz.

Its frustrating seeing Robbie Robertson sitting there alone, AND then not having some sort of collaborative tribute performance or something...

I just spent 60 days in the jailhouse
For the crime of having no dough
Now here I am back out on the street
For the crime of having nowhere to go

Save your neck or save your brother
Looks like it's one or the other

Oh, you don't know the shape I'm in

I agree - Levon letting it rip is one of the great moments in musical film history. The songs with Dylan at the end, and Caravan with Van Mortison were great too (especially now that those two tend to phone it in).
word you're in my new top ten of posters....simply great great show
