Or he could've just admitted it. All this shit would've blown over by now. Now, he ends out lying and will chase down that lie until he is in prison. When will people learn? Everybody knows he's guilty, he might as well have just had a fake heartfelt apology and be done with it weeks ago. The human ego supercedes all logic.

His story just doesn't add up. Yeah, it won't be proven, like a taped conversation, or a drug test. But reasonable people can conclude that it's pretty obvious that he did it, and that he is a fraud for not coming clean. And you don't fuck with the federal gov't. He just might go to prison. Not like he killed anybody.....all he had to do was admit it, apologize, and then set his tee time for the next day.
It won't be proven with what they had yesterday, but if the Justice Department opens up an investigation they can look at emails, bank records, phone calls, injury reports, and make EVERYONE testify.
If Clemens was taking roids, he had to be paying for it ... and if he paid for it, they will track it ... and if they find he paid for it in cash, the IRS will threaten to nail the person who didn't report it as income, so that guy will have to sing.
