Meaning if Orlando is -3 and gets constantly bet all day by the public will the number be moved or will it take a big bet by a well respected player for the move to happen. I know the book doesnt want to do to much moving around as they dont want to get middled. How about with NBA totals?

I guess anything can happen so I assume that yes is the answer but how common is it, does it happen everynight, all nite? Is it extremely rare? I see slow steady line moves all day in the NBA and was just wondering are most lines in the NBA moved by the sharps or the public?

Thanks!!!

yes because a lot of semi-sharps smaller books(that are also loaded on same games) are dumping with you so you move it more because of that than the individuals.....but yes they can move lines it all depends on how much the book wants to root against his public base for

Some of it depends on how much the book has on one side of the line. If they want to get more money on the other side they will move the line to get more money on that side.

The public doesn't bet the same with every book so some books are going to have more money on one side than another book.

Square money can move lines, but sharp money can move the line by more than half a point or totals by 2 points...
