this is PURELY hypothetical, if someone wanted to get into Pinny and was living in the US, what would they need to do?

I guess they could drive to Mexico and open up a PO box there,,, Hypothetically speaking am I on the right track?

Doubt if that would work unless you stayed there in Mexico or any other foreign country. IPs and phone calls are traceable as to where they originate. If you create the foreign PO box address and go home to the US and you logon from a US IP or call from a US area code you will be found out.

I know all about proxies and if you can go that route and pull it off more power to you. Just don't come to the forums crying if you get caught and find out you will not be paid any winnings because you circumvented rules.

Clearly posted on their website where you go to to create an account:

Unfortunately, Pinnacle does not accept clients who are resident in the United States of America.

I think you need a trusted friend in another country. I'm sure some Yanks are playing there, but I wouldn't risk it. Matchbook and 5D can replace a good portion of Pinny lines.

Pinny has been very accommodating for US players who seek to circumvent their locale. I do not know this from personal experience

If you go that route you need to purchase VPS (virtual private server) service, which is fairly inexpensive as well as create your non-US domicile.

They do not confirm or check your address, unless using credit cards for deposits.

They do not IP address check either, so you can log in from the states using your normal internet.

Therefore, you could open an account with a non-us address, fund the account, using sportsbook transfers which are free, with most books including: matchbook, Olympic, 5dimes, BetJM, Grande, etc.

And you could use the account perfectly.

Regardless of all the different opinions you will see in this thread the important thing to remember is players should not expect recourse if they are not paid after delibrately circumventing the rules at any book. All that if you write a bet you book it goes out the window when it becomes known that a player purposely misled a book and breaks a clearly posted rule in order to bet at that book.

Use proxies, set up phony foreign addresses, buy IP masking software etc. in the end you are taking a hell of a risk by cheating and still expecting to get paid.

Do I think some players are getting away with POSTING up at Pinnacle and still residing in the US? Sure - without a doubt some players have figured out how get over on Pinnacle secruity but in the end is it worth it..

Posting up funds at Pinnacle if you reside in the US is against their clearly posted rules so like I aways say in cases like this "caveat emptor"...

Then you get paid via transfers ?

Its still a bit risky, you're at their mercy if they ever decide to change procedures. I wouldn't do it.

i can't see, with books like thegreek and betjam, how anyone should feel compelled to play at Pinnacle anymore, they once ruled the world, but they aren't all that relevant anymore.

Even when Pinny has booted people from the U.S. they have paid them.

It's not rocket science - Canadian IP, Canadian Voip, and Canadian bank and you are set...
