Just how brutal is the West?

The best team in the NBA when the playoffs start is SA - with that confirmed - the Spurs are 2 games out of first in the West - AND 2.5 GAMES FROM 9TH PLACE AND MISSING THE PLAYOFFS - the Eastern Conference should not be allowed to send a team to the finals on principle alone.

That's what we've been letting them do - and since 99' how many times has the East won - and other than those 2 times they have only been competative in one finals (DT/SA) - of course, Detroit and the Celtics are for real this year - but would they beat the Rockets or Nuggets in the playoffs? - who knows.

Don't tell the Celtics...currently undefeated against the West and still playing descent without Garnett....and I am not a Celtic fan.... :103631605

It's seems like the West is wide open... A few games here and there will dictate the seeding...

i'm a huge spurs fan[maybe not as big as you] and i know they're on pace with last yrs record but it seems that something is missing there, besides parker. and pop also seems concerned about the laker trade.
also don't forget the spurs never win in odd number years.

the east is a disgrace besides bost and det.

Detroit, Cleveland, Boston, and maybe Orlando have the capability to beat any western team in the finals. if 1 of those 4 get in should be a great final vs. any western team.

Unfortunately, Portland is finally crashing down. I hope houston and golden state edge out denver, but my gut tells me g.s. will be missing the playoffs this year.

the bench the whole game.

cleve and orlando have ZERO chance against west. and very little chance vs det and bost.

In a seven game series give me boston, detroit or olando over rockets, warriors, portland, nuggets, new orleans, and spurs this year.

You keep talking, Duncan looks alot older this year and parker will not be the same when he comes back.

i wish they would seed the teams 1 thru 16 just one year and see how it plays out.

no east , no west .. just seed the 16 playoff teams.

I think Boston is going to win the Title this year. The teams in the west are to beat the living shit out of each other to make it to the finals. Boston walks into the Eastern Conference finals, beats Detroit in 5, and is fully rested for the finals.
