Why do you think arizona will finish under .500?? Best staff in that division and a very solid up and coming line up.

cleveland under. will unload sabathia before the trade deadline and be a fringe wildcard team. detroits the best team in the division. and you have the central pretty well pegged, although the white sox should be more of a contender.

Webb is a stud but Haren's 2nd half numbers suggest he may be in for a rough year. Randy is old as dirt. Petit and Owings are 5's at best right now. Doug Davis is in for a rough year. He was lucky to escape last season with the ERA he had. I don't think they have a great staff. Very average in my opinion.

Also, the main reason I have them so low is that alot of their young hitters played so far over their heads last year it's amazing. Guys that didn't hit in the minors suddenly turned it on. Their offense is nowhere near as good as they looked last season and I expect a large dropoff.

Their offense wasn't good last year. They were outscored by some ridiculous margin. There's really only one way to go offensively (up). Haren's move to the NL will help him--look at is NL starts over the last couple of seasons. Davis has always pitched like he did last year with the same results. Another 15 win season is in order. Owings will be solid. Johnson will be good for 20+ starts of #3 numbers and they've got a few solid prospects to pick up the slack.
97 wins is too many for the mets too. I'm not sure they're the best team in that division.

With that rotation?

Soriano is coming back from major surgery.
Livan is now 84 years old.
Boof Bonser, Scott Baker, and some no name other guy?

That rotation is poor.

Delmon Young is a strikeout machine and won't be awesome for a year or two. They have Mauer and Morneou on offense but not much beyond that.

I just don't see it happenin for em.

The main thing would be if you really want to tie up money on a prop that pays 1:1 for 8 months!

They also have one of the best homefield advantages and an elite closer.

just curious why so low on Boston. I think they would have to get hit hard with injuries to win 87

something to consider too is they got virtually no contribution from Bucholz and Ellsbury during the regular season last year. Those two look ready for breakout years which would help keep Boston around 95 or so
