I have always read about how props could be profitable but never put a whole lot of thought into it but since I am home alone on a satuday nite (GF is out a frineds house in her hometown) I decided to use some of the same type methods I use for picking games and started shopping extensively on tonites stuff. I was able to find a +475 on Gay in the dunk constest and +250 on Moon.

There was all sorts of stuff out there tonite but didnt really get into betting much of it. there was value all over the place. Not sure if this is the norm on stuff like this. I have overheard that baseball presents alot of this type oppurtunity. Kind of sparked my interest.

May spend sometime looking into this with towmorrow's game. If anyone does this please feel free to add. My key question is are the books all over the place on the props market? Seemed a little too good to be true if you shopped around enough. Not even sure this is something you could do unless it was special events like tonite.

Surprised it took you this long to look into props. Soft market but weak, weak lines. Way easier to find +EV in props than sides and totals.

I have always heard that about them but never put the time into them. Other than games like All Star games what do you find on a daily basis with these.

Iceman it's all a stats game. Literally number crunching to quantify an edge. Examples are total pass yards, # of carries or receptions, player rebounds, etc. Anything and everything as long as you can quantify an edge... and the lines are weak, sometimes very weak. Knowing you, if you get into it, you will retire off it. Limits can be a problem. BTW ask Royalfan he's the expert.

Years ago the books had many more props going. In 2002 i had at least 30 different wagers for the NBA all star game. Today there are far less options. Books are petrified to get beat by props. They already took their losses and they have learned to just cut and paste. Pathetic. The days of the clone lines are hear folks and that includes props big time.
