Im having a problem with my standard Ford issue 6 CD changer that resides in the arm rest. I cant get it to eject or play any CD's. I press the eject button, the motor makes a noise, and nothing happens. Anyone know any tricks to get this puppy released? Thanks for your responses!!!

I'm surprised that a mid 90's Exploder is still running.

I still have a 1997 with 192,000 miles on it and it still runs like a top. A few creaks here and there but have not had a repair bill in like 5 years other than normal wear and tear stuff. DAMN GOOD VEHIC!!

Im suprised your CD changer has made it this far... best thing to do is rip it out, break it open to get your CDs then go buy a new radio for the car with an ipod interface

Try this worked for me twice in the past. I've helped about 6 people with this problem in the past.

Take the battery cable off for over 2 minutes, that will reset the car. Put cable back on.. CD should eject immediately..

I think this will work let me know if it did..

Dude i had this EXACT same problem with my 96 Explorer that I ended up getting rid of a few months ago when I needed a new transmission. I never found a way to get cds to ever play again once it started doing this. But I did get it to eject. I didn't do anything in particular...just kept pressing the eject button and fucking around with the cartridge thing. GL

I have a 2000 Expedition Eddie Bauer.... Same thing though I have the 6 disc changer in the arm rest also... never had any problems with it though? Works like a champ. I think the Explorer/Expedition are one of the best suv's on the market. Extremely dependable, havent had any issues whatsoever. 115,000 miles never 1 problem
