I just downloaded this because I heard it has all the NBA/CBB games and boxing/MMA fights and I can't seem to get it to work on firefox and only on IE....

Was wondering what everyones experiences with Sopcast here was?

Does it give you spyware? Does it slowdown your PC? How good are the streams and the amount of content on it? I'm just gonna give it a try and if I don't like it I'll delete it.......

Hmmm

Hmmm,

I'll try to give you some advice.
my best guess is you downloaded a plug-in,and not the (all-in-one) player.

try following these steps .... and maybe you will have better success?

1.Sopcast,comes with it's player installed from the download link:

link: http://www.sopcast.org/download
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=3 width="94%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR bgColor=#f5efe7><TD colSpan=2>
SopCast 2.0.4 for windows (All in one)

SopCast include 4 component, SopPlayer, SopServer, VoD and WebPlay. SopPlayer for viewer, SopServer for broadcaster, VoD provides movies over P2P, and WebPlayer for web viewer. This file includes all the 3 component.

Install the software, and you can use "login as anonymous" so you don't have to insert any info.,and I use the check in the "autologin box". to save time.

2. Use this link as sort'of a TV Guide for SOPCAST shows.

http://myp2p.eu/index.php?part=home

a.pick your "TAB" at the top of page
</TD></TR><TR><TD class=bar2 colSpan=3 height=1>either the player will start or it will bring up the sub-menu.

b. Sub Menu: click the TV-screen to the right-side,then you will see the menu on the bottom of page, under the LINKS.

click appropiate link ... and view.

Also ...if you are looking to view Sports in "Firefox browser" this link may also be useful

Channel Surfing : http://www.channelsurfing.net

just scroll though page to which event you are looking for.

Hope this works for you.

good luck

The Shoeman

Channelsurfing is good for small time CBB games but other than that, it seems to never work because so many people are using it.....

Sopcast I DL'd what you told me to, video seems to be lagging someone. I'll watch a few events on it and let you know how its going.....

For movies I usually just like to download Torrents because the picture quality is far better...

Although I think it does give some spyware which you gotta watch for...
