Dry rubbed with salt, pepper, fresh minced garlic, paprika, and a little crushed red pepper. Let sit at room temp after rubbed for at least half hour before grilling.

That is all.

Agreed Harry. Never marinate with any liquid on a great cut of meat.
Bone in ribeye my absolute favorite for flavor.
Fresh garlic, salt and crushed peppercorns for me.

Again, never grill a steak until it gets to room temp. When done, I put a foil tent over it for 5 minutes and enjoy.

Never really been a fan of pre-mixed steak seasonings. I would rather control the proportions of spices myself.

That said, if I am feeling frisky sometimes I rub with Emerill's Bayou Blast instead of paprika.

You venturesome bastard Harry...you'll surely die young living life on the edge like that.

Personally, no marinade or spices whatsoever when cooking a steak for me. As Grandma PBR used to say..."season at the table" where a little salt is all I need.

If I am have time to plan.....

Go to the butcher shop and buy whatever cut you like. Bring it home and unwrap it and place on a plate in you fridge for at a minimum 5 days and wait for it turn that nasty looking greenish brown, add regular salt. Get you grill as hot as possible and cook each side for minimum amount of time.

If that is not available.... I like combination of seasalt, creole, everglades, and garlic powder.

Right now however, I am on a Tuna kick and eating it about five times a week.

For skirt steak this is a great marinade it will give you a asian flavor.

1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup of OJ
1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon of black pepper
1 tablespoon of fresh chopped garlic
2 tablespoons of Honey
2 scallions chopped

mix together and let steak marinate for about 2 hours or more and then grill

I don't eat more than 4 or 5 steaks per year(only sirloin), but I think marinade ruins the flavor.

Italian Dressing, Worstershire Sauce, Canola oil, Montreal Steak seasoning, garlic powder/salt.

that has to be the most used marinade, i know 3 or 4 people that do the same thing and they all "heard about it from someone"

however it is pretty good
