Why the fuck are the mariners even in this poll? They aren't even remotely favored to reach the playoffs.

I called the Bo Sox last season and am calling the Mets this year.

Pitching staff is top 3.
Offense is top 3.
Bullpen is top 10.

Not a better team in bases, top to bottom.

Bo Sox aren't going to repeat. Offense is getting older, relief should be much worse, unlikely Beckett and some others stay healthy even though I love DiceK to become an ace.

Anyway, Mets are the best team in the majors.

IMO they have a very good shot at the wild card over Boston. Either them or the Angels will win the West and the loser will likely have about the same record as the Yankees or Red Sox (whoever doesn't win the East).

Bedard and Felix are good enough to at least put Seattle in the conversation. They have very nice relief pitching as well. Problem is very much their offense as no one takes walks and all most of the guys do is swing for the fences and whiff alot.

NO. They have the WORST position players in the AL. It is flat terrible! They will fail to score 700 runs. Still laughing at the ridiculous inclusion.

Seattle plays in a weak division this year with two very poor teams in Texas and Oakland. They have a top rotation and an incredible bullpen. The offense will be inconsistent but will still hit alot of balls hard and score enough runs to win 85+ games.

Wrong. In the AL, if you don't score 750+ runs, you will not win 85+ games Jake. This is the worst lineup (offense + defense) in the entire AL, yet somehow you are backing them to contend for the division. They have a 750 OPS DH and horrible defense.

You say they win 85+ games. Let's say, for argument's sake, that they win 86. At that rate, they will need to outscore their opponents by about 50 runs. What are you projecting for their RS/ RA? This ought to be good. I'll go with 710 Runs Scored and 750 Given up, for a record of 77-85.

Also, Felix and Bedard will NOT combine for 380+ Innings. Put that in stone. Both players are injury prone.

</pre>Further, Bedard is an extreme flyball pitcher and is going to have serious problems with Ibanez and Wilkerson manning the corners.

only can post 8 listings so had to either do other AL and Other NL or Other altogether, def should have switched tigers and mariners but I missed the boat, dont see the phils over any of the other contenders listed.
