I'm not sure I totally believe it though.

Something tells their was some rigging going on.

Maybe not...

I am at 30 cents at Poker Stars . Cashed for 15 cents each in 2 freerolls.

I read that a few months ago myself.

I think he did that as a publicity type thing if i remember correctly. Trying to prove he can be disciplined.

Can someone please explain to me why any amateur would want to play at a table with Chris Fergusson or any other pro poker player? I'd much rather play at the local casinos then take on these guys/gals. What am I missing here?

does an amateur baseball player want to play with people he can beat or his favorite player? this is the same idea with ferguson, there is an entertainment value attached to it

Back when he was trying to turn 0 into 10k I saw him playing several times on the 1-2 limit holdem tables with $30 in front of him. Pretty amazing but no telling how much time playing it took to do.

Depends on whether you want to make money or lose it.

0 - 20k in two years? What's the hourly rate of return on that?

I turned 0 into 4k in two days. Two tournaments (a freeroll then a $6 rebuy), about 8 hours of play.

I understand people make good money grinding away at poker, but I couldn't stand the hours.

I surprised it was so small of winnings $20,000 wow thats a small figure when you can see the opponents hole cards should have been $200,000 easy I mean if the site is going advertise and market itself do it well by doing it right.

Poker Stars is a legitimate site.

Was Absolute Poker that was shameful.

I know many people that make $100k+/year playing poker online, that have no relationship or sponsorship with any site.

I used to play on Full Tilt a lot. I went on a tear and sat down at a 10/20 NL Hold'em game that Mike the Mouth was seated at but was sitting out. Eventually he came in and totally tried to bully me first hand he came in on. I had a high pocket pair (Kings i believe) with trash on the board, i bet and he put me all in. I had a hard time calling but i eventually did, more or less because i saw so much shit from him on tv, and he had like 7-10 off suit... nothing! He doubled me up for about a grand, give or take, and then left the table. Not saying I out played the guy, he just made a move at the wrong time, but it is my coolest poker moment.

I've also watched Ivey play on there in the big game and saw him lose $250,000 in about 15 minutes. Does anybody know if the pros on these sites play with their own money or is it all sponsored?

It is a great story. That's what I believe it is ... a story. Look, a long haired swing dancer can do it... so can you!!
