Another member of the committee, Colts president Bill Polian, shared his opinion on the NFL’s investigation of the Patriots.
“From my perspective, that was a thorough, fair, efficient process with lots of integrity,” he said. “I think it’s fair to say we [as a committee] were satisfied with the explanation, satisfied with what was done, and at least I am anyway. It’s behind us. It’s time to move forward.”
The lawyer of that case has a better chance of being disbarred. For brining the case up.The case will never see the light of day.
I could care less really. It does though just give people another reason to feel that the pats are cheaters though. It's the public perception that the Pat's won doing things illegaly. It doesn't matter to people that some of the accusations are wrong.
It's like with Clemens. Clemens has stated that he will never get his good name back and he's right. The public perception of him is that he cheated.
I read in the latest issue of SI that either the Pats or the NFL is being sued for 100 million by players on the Rams squad that lost the SB. They want the difference between the losing and winner's checks and refunds for all paying customers.
Pat, I love you, and the wife loves you, but your boy has been cheating for 18 years.
I think its sad what the Patriot's have been doing for 7 years and all this time we thought there coach was somehow so much smarter than the rest of the NFL. I wish they would investigate the whole league too. I bet u not everybody has been cheeting and u would not find anyone doing it as extreme or as long. U probally would find smaller and less infrations of the rule. As for Coach Bilicheck saying he interpreted the rule wrong. He's so full of u know what its not even funny. Like a supposed genius of his stature could ever mis interpret the rules. As for people that dont know how much of an advantage this is. In my oppinion the advantage is overwhelming. Try running the ball up the middle every time they drop into zone coverage, Try throwing the ball deep everytime they bring a huge blitz, try rolling th QB out right when u know there going to be blitzing only from the left side, and the list goes n and on. Its a digrace to the Game of Football and the NFL. I always knew when I looked into Coach Bilicheck's eyes. Something wasnt right. Just as when I saw the guy in the the PhoeniX Suns playoff game. U know the ref. When he made that very bad call in game 6 or something. I had never see that guy before, but when i looked at him. I said to my self there is something wrong with this guy here. 2 months later he was indited.
I'm not surprised that other coaches are downplaying it; you know they're going to close ranks and BS just like ballplayers do for each other even when it's obvious that a Bonds or Clemens is a walking steroid lab. It should be obvious to anyone that, regardless of the scope or impact, Belichik and the Patriots are lying-ass cheats. Don't think rings should be taken away but the NFL, and it's billions of bucks, should investigate and penalize and do so harshly.
No hate at all, you can't handle facts. This stuff is where steroid use in MLB was in the late 90's; everybody denying, saying "you're just jealous", etc. If Matt Walsh plays the part of Jose Canseco and blows this open the Pats will be deservedly seen as akin to Barry Bonds; great without cheating but even better with it.
TB#1, like I said I could care less about the Pats. My point was that in the PUBLIC'S eye the Pat's are tainted. They aren't taking away any trophies from them but for most people who aren't fans they are cheaters who got caught.
