He could die.
Or those allogations from the NYTIMES could turn out to be true and would have to resign.

I would not go all-in on that bet.

I think Death is the only thing that will stop him, no way he resigns over some sex scandal the Times posts.

Even if true, he wont face any charges as he didnt commit any crimes

He didnt get this far to bow out after clinching

I think he has a 99% chance of getting the nomination...but death is always a possibility for a 72 year old...

The odds of any 71 year old being alive and healthy in six months is way less than 98%, so that should be enough to make you back off right there. He could suffer a stroke or be disgnosed with Alzheimer's that would force him to withdrawal..

Additionally, Mccain would be a far greater risk than your average Joe as he is running for President and a potential target for a deranged individual. Lastly, some additional skeletons could come out of the closet that could cause him to resign. NY TImes article was cheap shot, but deep down don't most of you think there is really something there? Jsut no proof at the moment.

So, all in all, I wouldn't bet more than $80-$85 that he would be the eventual nominee. You are also risking the health of the sportsbook 6 months down the road.

WSEX might decide to slow pay the $10,000 post up. No matter how you look at it, this would be a bad bet.

You can still bet on the Repub nomination at ehorsex as well; and the terms are that the wager is graded when a candidate secures enough delegates to clinch it mathematically, whether or not the candidate accepts. McCain is only 233 delegates away and you need lay only 40-1.
