Can you have a Slot machine in your business?

I have a marketing idea. I would not profit from the machine, but probably from the curious and interested. I would offer free pulls on a slot for discounts and free items on select day.

not wanting to give to much details out, but i got this from the gambling law in my state....may need to check with an attorney.

(E) "Game of chance conducted for profit" means any game of chance designed to produce income for the person who conducts or operates the game of chance, but does not include bingo.

I am sure if you put one for a promotion no one would say anything. I know here in Texas you can own them as long as you dont pay out more than $5 cash. I would make a sign that reads for promotional use only and you should be good. As long as you are offering a discount now if you are offering a product then it could be illeagal. Also if your not charging there shouldnt be a problem.

They have slot machines at certain bars in PA and even in a few diners in the back room. These are in the Lehigh valley area. I know a girl who is a bartender at this one bar and about 8 months ago some guy came in and told them to get rid of the poker machine anywise they will confiscate it. I couldn't believe the money they were making just from one machine.
