About to start it, this is the first time in my life i am going on a diet.

Have to lose about 20 pounds

anyone here do this one?

which diets actually work? and when i say work i mean you dont gain it back right after its over :dancefool

My Boss just lost 22 lbs in like 2 months. She says its life changing.

I think we talked about this before..

You can do WW's but you really just need to Cut out anything that is White !! White Flour,White Bread, Pasta !!

Use Light Butter ! No Cake, Cookies, Pasta ( can use Whole Wheat Pasta )
Special K is Good in the Mornings, some Eggs ( twice a week )

I'm a Pizza Nut, but you can Have Whole Wheat Pizza ! Not bad at all !

Snacks could be Fruit, apples,Pears,Light Popcorn ( 93% fat free )
Can eat a whole bag a night !

But when you say , A Diet you won't gain back AFTER the diet ???
No Such thing.. After you lose that 20lbs or so, Doesn't mean you can go back and eat all the things you cut out !!

I heard that Atkins works but majority of people gain it back right away

I dont think WW is like that

BTW i can still have pizza as long as i have a tiny breakfast and ok supper

Was she using WW, if so thats awesome, that would be great to lose it in less than 2 months

ya she went hardcore on WW. bought all the gadgets, goes to meetings. it helped that she caught the flu, that accounted for only 2 lbs. But either way...20 lbs.

My wife's doing it now and has lost about 15 pounds in two or three months. She's not even exercising much.

It really has nothing to do with dieting. Just keeping track of what you eat.

It's good because you don't have to deprive yourself.

its based on a points system...so you can eat what you normally eat, just in moderation

it's also enlightening to find out how many pts are in commonly consumed item. I think a can of coke (i drink like 6 a day) was like 1/4 the points allowed.

Yeah basically i had to stop right away with regular soda, as Diet is zero points while each cup of soda was like 2 points, when i can only have 30 points daily

Also have to totally cut out candy,chocolate, and cheeses

diet sodas are worse for you then regular sodas. They actually cause you to gain more weight, not from the soda but from some stuff in the soad which causes you to eat more. Also all those artifical sweetners are just plain bad.
Do some research on the net and you will see what i mean.
I went back to drinking regular soda, just cut way back the amount of them i will have. Mostly drink water now.

Best thing ever, I lost 32 lbs from it. Drink youre water as much as you can, first week you will lose the most. Then it took me about 5 months. Seriously you just need to follow the points and eat what you want, but stay within youre points for the day.

Also as far as soda goes, I only drink coke zero or sprite zero, you can drink as much as you want.

Will i lose weight if i constantly have huge suppers just stay within the guidelines with small breakfasts and lunches?

thinking of saving up about twice a week on first two meals to have a nice supper

keep eating man. eat about 6 light meals a day and excercise. Best way to keep it off long term. Keep your metabolism going constantly by eating light all day.
