Need help with a cordless phone problem !

A Motorola system. Has a base unit with answering machine, that part works.

It has two cordless phones that have little cradles to put the cordless phones in.

That is the problem. Phone reads "out of range", then when you press the on button it says " please register handset".

Calling Motorola is useless... you get some idiot in India that don't know shit !

can you imagine what this forum would look like if everyone posted each and every one of their life's little problems or questions?

avsforum.com

try that forum for all your questions on electronics and other stuff.

Try placing the phone on the charger then removing it.

seriously tho, when i have problems with cordless phones not registering, I have found by placing the handset on the charger, letting it sit for a minute, then removing resets the unit

sometimes unplugging the phone for a few minutes works. Mine was dead a few months ago. I unplugged it for a few minutes, plugged it back in and it worked.

In general, I have found Indian based call centres to be better, more polite, and more efficient than north American based call centres.

They also dont pressure you to get off the phone....
