1) How many games played before you think the stats click in
2) What was the average runs per game NL and AL
3) Who was the geezer doing the umpires, Po69 or Pops69 )
4) Anyone got a view that a stat has more value than the norm which the books put in.

I realise I sound like an Iceman clone but I am a Greenhorn when it comes to the finer points of Baseball. However, I do think the game is overplayed with stats and when that happens its best to leave it to the Books to work out and then look for a couple of underestimated stats to get an edge. :drink:

pretty much pitching..
I can't tell you what the books don't account for as I would imagine that baseball is up there as the longest running sport wagered on..
winbet - If you're being serious.. get to know some of the stadiums numbers and game schedules to start off.

No but I would like to know Her, those beers looked sweet. :toast:

Thanks for the Posts Lads but I'm pretty sure the books have all the bases covered :missingte (no pun intended) when it comes to Pitching and staple averages. What I'm looking for is an edge in a game where everything says it will be close, more on Totals than M/Ls. From what I can see the books are governed by the Moneylines and Runlines so with Totals they are in a paradox of pricing them up as per the M/L, which is the reasonable approach and gut feeling, which goes against all the Bookmaking principals. This isnt unusual as Soccer has the same problems for the Books in that the total score in reality dosent correspond with the perceived advantage of the Favourite. Up to now, Home runs and Bases to runs are two that I think are not fully accounted for in the averages set out for Bookmaking purposes. :drink:
