I know a local that allows you to bet "Action Points" with no limit or no max.

You can bet them on totals, first halves, second halves, money lines. No baseball, hockey or soccer totals.

No same game total/side. For example La Tech +41 $200/per unit and La Tech over 49 $200/per unit.........tried that in foots and he wised up quickly.

For those that don't know what Action points are, its basically a unit bet where you get paid 1 unit for every point your game beats the spread by. You get charged 1.1 unit for every your game loses by.

I have bet every nba game over the total a few times with mixed results.

I need somebody that loves statistics and spread sheets and all that to help me.

thanks

You can bet them at Greek. I'd look to what the Greek won't take :

H1 under
H2 over ( if OT counts)

I don't know what an action point on ML means.

Action points have been around for ever and are basically just another way for a book to get a player to lay more 11 to 10. Unlimited is not as common as say a 10 action point limit on sides or totals (action points half times and other in game bets are even less common for action points but the principle is the same). Unless you are gettting heavily reduced juice when you play action points you are only going to do as well as your opinion on a particular game - all the while laying 10 cents for every action point.

Pick winners and action points will make you money, otherwise they can bury a player who doesn't pick at least 53% winners at -110.

AP's have been canceled by several books or now at -115. I think they can used to advantage.

H2 on NBA games over sounds very good ( with OT) to me, maybe even worth betting blindly., or picking games that look like a good shot for OT, and an unlimited cap.

OT is often 20 points or so in NBA, might even get a 2nd OT, to go over by 40-50 points. It can't go under the H2 total by 50 points.

Some players I know claim to be cut off from betting AP's.

AP's on halves seems risky to book.

I believe 5D killed all AP's, and WSEX is NFL only, now.

Thats a great point on 2h nba as far as what you said about "a game can go over by 50 points but can't go under by 50 points.

A fellow i know who is pretty sharp says that if you blindly bet all basketball games over you will come out ahead.

I think this is something that is so uncommon in the offshore world due to the "post up" or credit limit.

What I mean is even if you put say a 100 unit max on every bet and bet every game on a saturday of hoops you'd need like a million dollars in credit or posted in ur account.

Where's the option to do this at at The Greek?

You have to phone it in, management then must approve it, its a handwritten ticket, but will be put in with your pending bets. Grading can take awhile.

I haven't done it in some time, but I used to do 20-30 points, never got rejected. Money is restricted from account until settled.

I did one about 10 years ago for a Nuggets/Suns game and Phoenix needed it to get into the playoffs. I think I had Phoenix -11. The Suns were up about 14 with around 6 minutes left and Denver never got another FG the rest of the way. It was great. Rex Chapman kept shooting 3's for no reason. They won by 30. It was awesome.

The mere fact that he doesnt take Baseball, Hockey or soccer totals suggests He knows what he's doing and that it is Him who has something good going, probably commission from a Private Book. :drink:

The Good old days of Action Points !!!

Knew a Guy that Use to Live on Action Points ( but I'm talking Credit-Book)

Guy would win $200K one Week, and Lose $300K the next

But when he got on a Roll !! :103631605

Same Credit Books will go as high as 30 Points

I disagree if the guy is taking H2 of basketball games over on AP at -110 a point, with a 30 point+ cap, and he counts OT with H2. I'm confident you could kill this local with that. Halves were never allowed. Must be a reason few books take AP anymore.

I've never seen it for other than foots and hoops.

I don't think betting every full game over is blindly profitable.

I'd like to be able to bet AP on bases.

He may know what he's doing, but zero chance he's getting commission from anybody.

You should kill this local with Ap's on halves. Lose by maybe 5, win by 30 with OT
