First off I am not sure how they all could be voting as I not sure that they even had internet access throughout the entire state:lol:.

Which now leads me to believe that Dante has been sitting around voting all day long to try and give Idaho their first national championship in anything.

The world anxiously awaits the winner. Will they have a parade thru downtown Boise?

I don't even see how they can come close to winning this.

Flutie pass has been done 100 times over.

Cal/Stanford I could see competing for the championship with Boise St.

The statue of liberty play wasn't even the most exciting play of the game

PS, the US goal over the USSR in the Olympics won with 59% of the vote.

I think that's kinda dumb. Don't get me wrong, that was a great game and all but the goal was pretty unspectacular and nobody really remembers the goal. They remember the "Do you believe in miracles" and the celebration at the end.

Not really a highlight per say. Oh well.

Well, it won him the Heisman. That game was on national tv, and Miami was the defending national champ.

Agreed. Hook and lateral was my favorite. Still, the fact that it won a game where it looked like Boise was toast and it completely confused the Sooners in the process make it the most recognizable IMO.

You have to remember that they were all college kid's who beat those commie bastards who were at their prime, maybe not all but probally most, who played at a professional level. To me it is the greatest. I love the whole story line of it. Could you imagine any college team today doing this? It probally would not happen.

Agreed; 10 years from now people will look back at the Fiesta Bowl as an example of a time where the hook and lateral actually worked--not for the underdog aspect.

I can't believe the Miracle on Ice only got 56% of the vote. I can't imagine who the other 44% are. I wish people would try and frame sports history in a broader scope than the last 3 years.

Frankly, BSU shouldn't have gotten out of the first round when matched against the Jordan's Game 6 shot.
