I saw it. Pretty amazing technology. Can't believe we have not been using it....I guess minimizing civilian deaths is not a priority....

You'd be amazed at what other "future" technology is actually already developed or in the process of development. In most cases it isn't cost-effective yet to use these technologies on a wide scale or is something they want to keep to themselves.
