Not sure if anyone tried this, but last season i would say around early August i was betting totals based on the game ov/un and where the team totals were set. . for example if the total for the game was 8.5, with the team totals being Philly 4.5, Pitt 3.5 i would bet the under. same goes for the over. Now i didn't keep exact %'s on this, but i know i won more than i lost. I was just wondering if i was missing something why the totals would be set like this, or if anyone else has tried this and has an exact %. GL:toast:

I'm an idiot....i forgot to add that the totals of the team totals had to add up to 1 whole number off the game totals. say the game total was set 9 and the team totals were 4.5, 3.5.....many were set where there was 0.5, difference but every days or so the totals would be off by 1 whole run....sorry i didn't add that in the 1st post

I'd say between 60-70%. Closer to 70.

Also going against the public's view on unders.

When the majority of bets(70-80%) were on unders I took the over.

That hit between 70-80%

Perhaps we should do a year long thread on this trend this year.

While I like and use your idea of betting against the public with totals in the NFL, I am not sure it would work well enough for baseball.

Not enough action in baseball for it to be a very good theory to use IMO.
