Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher
Josh Neer vs. Din Thomas

These two fights deserve to be on a main card. Damn shame to see them as prelims but it shows the quality of this show.

I love the fights..Boxing..MMA..Wrestling.

Been a huge fan forever and been betting this stuff since it was first offered years ago on TheGreek and MVPSportsbook.

MMA really has some openings of late with all of the cards.

Glad to see your doing well.

i am so embarrassed that you are from Houston.

UFC is pretty solid. I actually thought it was better before the acquisition of Pride.

The big fights have mostly passed but theres some good stuff coming up.

Sherk/Penn has the makings to be fight of the year.

Tito/Machida and Jardine/Silva could both be headliners on a lot of cards.

Fun couple of months to be a fan of this sport.

is there a "ranking" authority on mma or is it akin to boxing with the alphabet soup sanctioning bodies and belt holders? i see ufc, pride, xcsomething, ifl, hdnet fights. seems like many governing bodies, this is and was a huge detriment to boxing. will the same fate befall mma?

simply put, no. as long as the power stays in the hands of the owners and business men and out of the hands of the fighters MMA will not face the same problems boxing does.

look at Couture as an example.

also there will always be inferior leagues that sprout up but there are only two that are of any interest right now and that is the UFC and WEC. Pride is part of the UFC, but I don't think they put on shows any more.

Not an authority...

Different orgs with different rankings...

Best places to go are Sherdog and MMAWeekly...

Top orgs now are UFC, Dream (Former Pride Staff...New owners), EXC (Gary Shaw runs it), IFL, and HDNET Fights.

MMA is going to be ok for awhile. The competition is good right now and I like it because it gives me a ton of different options to bet. Guys like Gary Shaw are in it only for the money so they are like vultures but they are going to have a hard time unseating the UFC.

Penn will win this fight..

Look for him to dominate the fight standing and bust Sherk up pretty good...

Would not be surprised to see Penn rear naked him either.

This is Penns fight to lose in training camp.

I disagree as Elite EXC is definitely a player now that they have gotten a primetime deal with CBS. Kimbo Slice is becoming a household name and they have plans to match him with Ken Shamrock soon. Obviously a mismatch but fans will tune in to see it.

I love all the MMA\UFC stuff-and buy pretty much all the PPVs.

The one in Broomfield is so close to me, it's not even funny. This is probably the first thing that the place has ever sold out, and of course-it sold out fast. I had no idea......they aren't exactly good at promoting stuff for the place, but I guess in this case they didn't have to.
