I'm looking for the podcast from the show last week where it was USPS vs. UPS vs. FedEx. If you listen you know what I'm talking about. Does anyone subscribe to the podcast and can email me an MP3 file of that show? Thanks.

(yeah yeah, I know most people here don't like Rome, that's not the point).

Naw, the local sports station that carries Rome cut to Favre's retirement press conference in its entirety so I missed the first half of the show.

The reason I want the podcast of that show is because he read one of my texts and I'd like to have that sound bite.

Rome is old. His "fresh takes" are no longer FRESH. He is now nothing more than a talk show host with an emphasis on sports-a hybrid. OUT.

I find him to get old quick however...

This week they were doing a "worst calls ever" for awhile and a guy called in to talk about the time he was in the shower and Larry Brown's crank was in his face.

Tears funny...

I am a clone and subscribe to his podcast because with all of the computers and ethernet cables that are near my cubicle at work the feed from the local AM radio is crap. If you can remember what day you need I will download and email or post it for you.

P.S. Rome's take on the original Willy Wonka movie and working in sales are classic.

I agree 100% but would also add to the list:

His take on Tanya Harding and her merry "band of retards" sitting around the table hatching the plan to hurt Nancy.

His airplane story about the dude who 'grew a tail" on the beverage cart in first class.

Jim Everrett coming after Rome over the top of the table on ESPN2.

When he challenged 69-year-old Gordie Howe's plans to play one more shift in the NHL (to say he had played in six different decades) and Rome offering a $3,000 bounty to any player willing to take Howe out of the game permanently.

His other airplane story about accepting a private flight to North-Cal from a clone who was not even liscensed.

Michael Jackson's home "adult alarm" security system.

"C.A.A.F." (Cockfights Across America Foundation) and the "Drunk Bus".

His original (negative) takes on the Left Turn Circuit.

His takes on "softball-guy" and "likes-to-fight-guy".

That would be awesome. Like I said, it's the one with the UPS/FedEx/USPS feud, I THINK probably Wednesday, but I can't be positive. If you could send that show to me that would be awesome. Get my email from a mod.

His sales takes are hilarious, if I ever worked in sales I would definitely start grabbing business cards from the fish bowls in restaurants.

I love Rome. Most people don't, but his show is thoroughly entertaining for 3 hours straight every day. His TV shows have always sucked, but his radio show is top notch. I used to subscribe to his show, but stopped a couple of years ago. I guess I should renew.

I don't remember which day it was either. I have the show automatically download to my work computer every day so what I will do on Monday is grab the media files for all of last weeks show and send them to you.

Awesome, thanks. I'm not sure what formats are available, but mp3 would be best, otherwise whatever you have.

Damn. You need a username/password after you click the links. Plus it looks like they're the 3/5 show and I need 2/27? How big were the mp3 files?

13mb each hour. I can't zip the files either because an MP3 is already a compressed file. Let me know if you think of something.

You might want to consider just subscribing to his podcast. I pay $29.95 every 6 months and it is worth it. Believe me there are worse ways to flush $5.00 down the toilet every month.

Alright, thanks anyways. I really only need the third hour, but if 13mb is still too much to email it's cool, I'll just buy a month's subscription. I'm sure the subscription is worth it if you can't listen live, but since I generally am able to listen to 80% of the show I never thought it was worth it to subscribe. Maybe I'll have to reconsider...

I thought the same thing too but sometimes when I am listening to the show at work I get called away from my desk or involved in a phone call and by the time I get free I miss a good portion of one of Rome's rants so I just replay it on my ipod during my drive home from work. It has also came in handy on a couple of drives up and back from Vegas. If you sign up now you will get access to the past 30 days of the archived show.
