unless the pac 10 teams have refs in every game they play in the big dance they'll get the shit kicked out of them, soft teams that would absolutely get killed in the east and mid west. i know some of you know but do league officials do the games involving their own conference in the big tourney? ucla #1 in the nation???? fcuking joke imo.
is it me or does all west coast officials blow? it seems they are all heartless cowards who play to the home crowd. never more has it been evident in some of the biggest games. here tonight and gonzaga at st mary's. i'm the first to give higgins and burr a hard time, but at least those stubborn sons of a bitches aren't afraid to make a big call on the home team. in fact they live for it. who knows maybe its just me.
i like ucla as a team. but im also a little leery that they might be the product of a weak conference as well. normally, id put more weight into the 'eye test'. they look good despite playing in a mediocre conference. but this time, i just have a bad feeling about the bruins. the pac10 is weak this year. its not like it was last year when there were 4-5 very solid teams. this year, its a lot of mediocre ball. and ucla needs to find more consistent offense. their defense speaks for itself. but they have weaknesses that havent been exposed but very well might be soon

Trent Johnson should have just taken the technical at the end of regulation. He would have been well within his rights.
I do not see UCLA making the sweet 16...let alone winning their conference tourney next weekend.
