It is around $3.05 here in Texas. That is higher than Post-Katrina nd Post-Rita Hurricane days when it was around $2.99 a gallon. It will probably go to $3.40 before it will go down to $2.70 again.

But you know what?? If the price of gas was $7.00 a gallon, 90% of us would still drive the same amount that we did when the price per gallon was $1.50. We will bitch about it, but we will still drive like crazy. We will still buy gas guzzling SUV's or trucks.

We would just cut back in other ways. Where we WOULD feel the pinch is in the prices that we have to pay for groceries and other items due to the higher cost of shipping.

I have to disagree with you here my friend as I have curbed my driving habits alot since gas hit over $3 a gallon and will continue to do the same and the bike comes out in the Spring. When its costs about $50 to fill up your tank instead of $20 like it used to you dont have that extra money like you used to spend on other things.Hell groceries prices are going up now and have been shopping at Save a Lot or Aldi's instead of Giant Eagle to save money. This Country is in big trouble right now and unless something is done soon you wont have any money to do anything but that $600 the government is giving you will help.Yeah right !

Better get locking gas caps. Shit I might buy stock in them. Gas gets to $4 per gallon you could hit a SUV $100 a night.

I would love an explanation too. Profiting 40B a year and the price of gas keeps going up. if i lived in a city or on a bus route i would not drive. driving today cost more than most things in life.

hell, gas, car payment and insurance you could have a vacation home in CO.

High gas prices are crumbling big cities........many feel the need for space and rural land.

I wish the price of natural gas would catch up on a % basis to oil. I want to feel like Daniel Day-Lewis.

I still drive the same no matter if gas was 50 cents or 10 dollars a gallon. Now if it goes up to 50 dollars a gallon, I may curb my driving habits.
