Ducks just put the final nail in the wildcats bid to make the Big Dance IMHO. It was a nice run for them but I really see no way that they will be going !

There might be 5 Pac10 teams still playing in April but they won't be still playing bb unless it's intramurals.

If AZ can make it past 2 rounds of the Pac10 Tourney, they can still get in. Their RPI is the best of all the bubble teams, and their losses have been to power teams.

If the committee wants to reward strength of schedule instead of teams playing directional schools, AZ should get in.

Wildcats 8-10 Pac 10 record and 7 th. place finish does not bode well for them as their first round opponent is Oregon State and their 0-18 conf. record so they will get no credit or rpi bump for that victory. Then they will meet number 2 seed Stanford who will be well rested getting first round bye. Of course anything is possible but now they need to rise up to a level that they haven't showed me they are capable of. They have been a huge disapointment this year !

I agree Kermit, they had some bad injuries and the whole Lute thing messed them up. But if they get by Stanford in the pac10 tourney I think they are in.

Looking at the standings it will be hard for the bubble teams, knowing each of them have 2 wins vs a winless team. Pretty big week for Az St and Oregon. Personally think Oregon jumps Az St thanks to their win over the Sun Devils this week. Oh, and Az St is 5-7 the last 12, so they are not helping their cause.

Only two teams I can see doing anything is UCLA and USC. Would love to see Wazzou make a run, but I can see an athletic team with good guards beating them.

UCLA, Stanford, USC and Washington State all have a decent chance of advancing to the sweet 16 but I wouldn't be surprised to see only UCLA and Stanford advance. Stanford's twin towers can present a problem to a lot of teams.

I think AZ has to beat Stanford in the P10 tourney to have any chance.

Oregon may be in as of now but they can cement it with a win over WSU. A team that they do not match up very well with.

But it is a guard-oriented tourney. Stanford looks like many of their old teams. Just not sold on the backcourt. Wash St, I'm not sure what to make of them. If Arizona can go to Pullman at the end of the year and win, that would be a red flag. They would be a difficult matchup for a round-2 team, with one day to prepare.
