well, i dont believe that jimbo. butch can crack 80 on any course the seniors play. my problem with him is him dogging john to the media. thats total horseshit. the guy is a swing coach and he was talking like he was johns personal shrink. every pro ought to get a pass or 2 on the pro am deal. its the absolute worst fucking rule that they have to play in the pro am in order to play in the tourney.
butch gets a % of winnings frome all his pupils.(as do other top teachers.... haney, ledbetter, tomasello) i didnt think so either wno until i asked a few tour guys who have teachers who follow them from site to site. besides the point though. the guy is an arrogant prick who is really way out of line on this one. i have a lot of respect for his family name as far as the golf business goes but as far as a person, the guy is shit for these public statements. i know it seems like im worked up about this but im really not. i just hate to see a guy, who hasnt had the best of luck in life(and i realize he has caused himself most of these problems), get verbally beaten up by some pompous asshole

I guess i'm one of the few that think John has had plenty of chances. He has had a pass his whole life because of his talent. I play Golf pretty religiously and know people that have known John since grade school and say some pretty unflattering things about him.If this was a NBA player or Football player we would be be piling on . I have had three lessons from Butch and he charges a pretty penny but nothing from the pro's. Word of mouth gets around when one of his players is playing good and saps like me go and pay him 300.00 an hour. I do remember last year i saw him for two hours one day and one month later was having some problems and was trying to get them ironed out on the range. I hit balls for over two hours and didn't even know Butch was there, but he was inside working with one of the pro's and thought enough to take a break and come out and work with me for thrirty minutes and didn't charge me a cent. He even said if i can't get it worked out , to call his son and he would work with me unitil i got it fixed and charge me nothing. Iplayed in a pro am a few years back and one of John's favorite things is to piss in a Corona bottle and pass it off to one of his freinds as beer. That would get a baseball bat from me if that happened and his buddies dismiss it. He caused a pro who lives five minuted away to miss playing because of things like that. He needs to grow up and quit getting free passes.:nopityA:

good post buddym. i talked to one of johns old caddies this morning and he said that espn and the other sports networks have fucked up the story so bad its unreal.
jd was in the monday pro am and wasnt even in the wed. pro am. he told tourney staff he wanted to play on wed. if there was a spot. turned out they could fill one and he was to play around 940 or so. well, they fucked up the time. the spot available was around 830 and not at 940 like they told him. so now it looks like jd is the dipshit who missed his time when in reality, tourney officials fukt up the times
