Why would one need it ?

I see no advantage to taking a three team parlay with an open spot, over a two-teamer. You can straight bet the proceeds of the two-teamer on a 3rd bet whenever you desire, as an example.

I was looking at two teams and one open for the next day

and pay no juice . Bookmakers has them but 50.00 mininum bet.

I assume some people prefer not to bet certain plays that are beyond
a certain level of juice, e.g. -140 or -105.
