the one thing that shocked me the most was OU with a 6 seed. OU is terrible, wow i cant believe they got a 6. they should be an 8 or 9.. and if i was butler i would beat some ass. lol wow.. granted they are way overrated but still they deserve better than a 7.. tourny committee was smokin something this year

There isn't any difference between a 6 and a 7 seed in a first round game IMO..Yes OU has overacheieved at times this season..But they've also had to fight through some key injuries. When they were healthy they knocked off some very good OOC teams earlier in the year.. They accumulated a 8-7 conference record in arguably the best overall conference in NCAA basketball this season..This isn't coming from me, but many of the expert analysts have said that the Big 12 is the best overall conference. Judging by how few teams the ACC is putting in the tournament, I think the Big 12, and maybe the Big East have a good argument for number 1.
part of the reason i say they overachieved is because of all the injuries, plus keith clark leaving the team because of grades... also because it's tough to make the tourney with the guard play they've had for much of the year... capel and griffin deserve a ton of credit
if willie warren is as good as advertised and blake comes back maybe we'll be talkin about a team who can make a deep run next year...
OU's guard play was much better in the first third of the season..I'm really not sure what happened after that..The Sooners were the real deal early on. I think their higher seeding in the tourney was based mostly on this early performance and a couple key OOC wins...The facts are, OU is overseeded. Capel has done an outstanding job this year. I think Griffin will probably be back next season. If for no other reason to give him more clout for next year's NBA draft when the scouts have seen more of him as a healthy player. The Sooners should close the gap considerably on Texas and Kansas next season.
