I was at that 30 year reunion of Bobby Dyes team. who can forget that 1978 run. Very nice draw with Wiscy

i remember it........players names i may be off niles? heenan? or soemthing like that........i went csuf the next year partly because of their tourney run.......fickle i know

I predicted this thread at 4:20 PM right after the golf tournament...EASY MONEY...

I will be rooting for CSF...remember back in the day going to a bunch of baseball games when Augie was their coach and Gary Carter was their star..also remember watching Leon Woods play basketball...great campus back in the seventies...

greg bunch ,george barrios, heenan, mike niles- life in prison for something. They were 3rd seed in PCAA, upset 29-2 Long Beach, Fresno and San Diego State to get in. field was 32 then. Upset Bill Cartwright at USF and Michael Coopers NEw Mexico team in Big dance. Then had Sidney Moncrief,Ron Brewer and MArvin Delp on the ropes before a bad call down 1 in final seconds for a final 4 trip. Arkansas went on to win the whole thing that year playing Kentucky in final.

They had a 30 year reunion of this team last month vs PAcific, I went to the game. This years team was a 3 seed in the Big West tournament also held at Anaheim Convention center. Greg Bunch gave them inspirational speech. I have a feeling they will beat Wiscy and maybe even USC.

Fullerton has a better chance at winning the CWS series than they do beating one of the best coached teams in America.
Even though the Big Ten is average, Bo Ryan is one guy I would not want to try and match wits with.

4 of us are going together. Got them from a Creightion season ticket holder, which unfortunately is about the only way to get them, the way they sold them. 2 are really good, and 2 are up top, although low up top. We will probably rotate who sits where among the four of us. Pretty good view no matter what and there is a huge stand up area that you can watch from if you don't like your seats. The one bad thing, is I am going on a cruise Saturday so will miss the Saturday action.

(1978) Kentucky(Kyle Macy-Jack Givens) beat Arkansas in the semi finals, and Duke in the finals.
