Jason Kidd has literally lost it overnight

8 points COMBINED over his last 3 games. Mavs are playing 4 vs 5 with him out there, and he isn't creating easy baskets for anyone.

8 straight games without DOUBLE FIGURE points for J Kidd. The mavs rolled the dice and crapped out. Ironic after all the trouble this trade was. Harris and Diop for Kidd right now, not a chance in hell Mavs wouldn't do it

not as good as he once was but yet another person overreacting to regular season basketball, and still new surroundings and they are still trying to sort out how to use him. Any team would like to have him on their team. He makes plays in all sorts of different ways to help his team win ballgames.

PS, I still think it's a good move. It definitely is taking longer than I figured on for him to get in the flow, but the fact of the matter is they were dead in the water without him. If the team and Shaq can get into sync before the playoffs, they at least have a shot at winning it all finally. The Dallas move, I didn't see the same upside at all. I liked the Phoenix move because they knew they couldn't win with what they had and took a chance. Dallas could win with what they had and made a poor move in an effort to add a name.

I was down on the Shaq move as well, BUT after he played a few games and got his feet wet this Suns machine is just getting started

There are at least 5 point guards better than him right now, and that's being generous. He still has the vision but his quickness is long gone. He gets by on savvy, experience, and grit. He has no chance of guarding Paul, Williams, Parker, etc in the playoffs. Mavs would have been better off with Harris and Diop

Agree. I have watched him play in 2-3 of his recent games. The guy is just about all done. The I am Steve Nash with a bulky physique and a jump shot stuff is out the window.

Tim Hardaway didnt last forever either, it happens.

Look at it a different way. They got him to win it all this year. Is he the one who will do that for the price they gave up? They didn't need a PG. The Mavs panicked and it will cost them a first-round out and now a team who will decline rather quickly next year.

Some bad games in there for sure. I would careful about declaring this guy FINISHED before the playoffs. That is all that counts at this point. I have not watched him much but all he has to do is pass like he can and then everything will flow. He is on a pretty good team. Lets see what happens in the playoffs.

Problem Kidd has is he won't get those fat stats vs the Bulls and the Knicks in the playoffs. He will go against Chris Paul for 7 games if the playoffs started today. Since the league knows he has no outside shot anymore, they just play the pass.

We'll include Denver in the discussion. Which PG is Kidd better than in the top-9 of the West, outside of Rafer Alston?

Without hesitating, I would take Alston over Kidd right now. Not even close. Should've had him in my original list

KIdd knows how to play this game very well. Lets just see. He does not have to shoot well right now. Just run the break when they have it and run the offense. I am not calling him great but not calling him finished either. Kidd knows how to play and people like BIBBY on that list do not. We will talk in the playoffs. He just has to get comfortable. If he doesn't then that is one thing. If he looks washed up then we will see that too. I doubt it but it is possible. KIdd is from Cal so is that close enough to USC for Whoreman to rant?

I agree his game has gone to shit, but funny how during the Mavs recent 5 game win streak where Kidd only averaged 6.4 ppg during that span, Nobody said PEEP.
