I Must say Baseball is one of my favorite times of the year and I do wager on the sport a bit different than most. Now I am not the biggest fan of chasing, but I have found this method to be very profitable for the baseball season, so if its not broke, don't fix it, right? What I do is basically a series chase on a team who is going to be an underdog for the entire series. The reason why it is so profitable is because of the risk/reward of the moneyline. Now in an ideal world we would win every series on the last game, as more money would be made, but I will take a win as soon as I can get it. Now before I get too far in depth I do want to disclose that I am not the author/originator of this method, but the author, underdog master, told me about this so I took it upon myself to do the same and make some serious coin!
There are several filters that determine which teams the chase is for, but here are some of them to give you an idea...
1. The chosen team must be the underdog for the entire series.
2. Don't play against a team on a winning streak of 3 or more games.
3. Don't play on a team that is on a losing streak of 3 or more.
4. Look at a teams road performance against opponent @ opponents stadium.........some teams have remarkably good or bad history in certain ballparks.
5. In general, the team I am playing on, must be at least 4-6 in their last 10 games played and be at least a .400 team on the road or at least a .400 team versus opponent.
6. In general, the team I am playing agaisnt must be no better than 6-4 in their last 10 games played.
7. The team I am playing on, must have at least a .400 winning % vs the opponent over the last 3 years.
Now the progression for the series.
Game 1 - 1u
Game 2 - 2u
Game 3 - 4u
Game 4 - 8u
Seems like a lot of things to remember, but everything tends to coincide and you get the hang of it quickly.
I can say using this method I yielded +50u & +48u the 2 seasons I have used this strategy.
That is pretty much it, I just wanted to share how I wager on the sport. For those who like the idea of this strategy, the info is here to be shared. For those who don't like the risk, I understand as it took me a little time to get used to it as well.
Good Luck this Baseball Season.
