I mean this season, for some reason, I am not at all interested in even watching most of these games. This is the first time in over 10 years that I havent been glued to the TV.

For me, it is all about the NBA right now! I have never been this fired up about the NBA! Of course I am still betting the NCAA, but not as much as the NBA.

Hell, I only sent in about 3 brackets in all this season. I sent one in at bethamaica, one at ESPN and one at Yahoo. That bracket shit just takes up too much time

i don't even acknowledge the NBA exists the entire month of march, except when the tournament is off for a few days

The tournament is the best format for a championship. Single elimination. No bitching about who you have to play and who made it.

No 4 out of 7 bullshit.

I love the tournament.

NBA has certainly made a comeback with many fans across this country.

Not joking here, but I believe a big reason is the return to glory of Americas NBA team, the Boston Celtics.

I love the tournament.

The best is yet to come though, I think the 2nd round through the elite 8 is the best part. Lots of blowouts early, and the final 4 tends to be disapointing sometimes.

The NCAA tournament is the best event around - but 4 out of 7 basically ensures the better team won (other than the 06' Heat)

Personally don't understand anyone who doesn't love the NCAA tournament. These kids are fighting for their playing careers. No money or contracts bullshit, no demanding trades, etc. For some of them it's their only or last chance. Dreams are coming true, and we're seeing some GREAT fundamental basketball.

Whats not to love?

You must love the College World Series and the NCAA wrestling championships also......both great events and quite frankly, not near the fraud the Big Dance is.

I love college sports.

The NCAA tournament is the king of fun sporting events to watch. It may not crown the "best team" as champion every year, but I'm fine with that. Because all of the best teams had their shot at it. If they lost, it's their own fault, no excuses.

On the other hand, you have the BCS, who arbitrarily picks two teams and tells them they are playing for the championship. Sure, the regular season weeds many out...but when you have 5 two loss teams, you better play it out on the field to determine the champ, not on paper.

BCS= Fraud and anti-climatic

NCAA tournament= Fair and riveting

It's tough to enjoy it when Iowa is your team - though this is two years in a row for Cuse so I should keep my mouth shut - I must say when your team is in it and advancing it's the best event bar none - but when your team is out it's kind of boring

Iowa, Iowa St, or Drake have NEVER made the College World Series and still enjoy that 2x more than than the Big Dance.

Although watching Drake and Iowa in the 70'S and 80's in the Big Dance was very, very thrilling.......especially Iowa's march into the Final Four with the great Ronnie Lester.

It was also more exciting than usual when Northern Iowa made the sweet sixteen and Iowa State had their great team led by Jeff Hornacek.

So yes, agree with you, much more exciting when a team you follow gets into the tourney............but still, in this day and age, it still is so-so compared to so many other sporting events for this observer.

When is opening day?.......now that's exciting!

Each year normally I love the Big Dance. But it really sucks to me this year. I still am betting on it though for some reason.

I have not been interested in the tourney in years. Its all NBA for me.

I have been watching some tourney games because I feel I have to for some reason and thats it. No bets in 3 years now on that stuff.

I stopped betting on college a couple of weeks ago...the game seemed to change in March. Much more confident in the NBA right now.

I love betting the NBA and even the NHL and yes, the better team usually wins in a 4 out 7 tournament but the NBA and NHL playoffs go on for 2 months and you could almost eliminate the regular season.

My point is that I think the ncaa basketball tournament is the best format for a championship. It is so exciting and there is no margin for error.
