Davidson playing 100 miles from campus...

Kind of BS that a 10 seed is getting home cookin in the first 2 rounds.

Selection committee screwing over Gtown who has to play basically a road game against a much lower seed...

don't know where you got that info...it is a 4 hour drive to Raleigh,about the same to Atlanta

187 miles downtown to downtown via interstate highways. so maybe a little over 3 hours with no traffic

Buster...

They showed it on CBS lasty night and said 100 miles or something close to that... I was drinking so mind was a bit foggy but remember they said it was like 100 or 120 miles...

They were 3rd team playing closest to home. Only 2 teams UCLA and another #1 seed are playing closer to there campus.

This is understandable since they are 1 seeds but makes no sense b/c Davidson is a 10 seed...

yeah i saw that too...i live about 25 minutes south of davidson...my only point to people on here is if they were playing in Atlanta no one would have even brought it up,but since it was in the same state is why it was mentioned..

and gonzaga was about as far away as anyone probably had to travel..can someone confirm that they traveled longest distance?

The thing if South Alabama woulda won too, is people from Birmingham will buy up tickets JUST to root against the Vols. Tennessee is despised in Alabama (UA fans hate them almost as much as Auburn)

Well you will have more fans in attendence if you play in your own state vs. ATL. I was rooting for American like a mofo yesterday b/c its a DC school and could care less about them before the game...

I just thought it was odd that they 4 teams they listed were a 1,1,10 and 2 seed... The 10 seed should be traveling further from home...

I knew Duke was fawked in the second round b/c WV fans fill up the stands at Gtown/WVU games... WVU commute to MCI center is nothing for there fans...

WV basically playing a home game in a court they play on every year...

I hate Duke so don't care. lol

Not like it's that far for G'Town either. Since the rules wouldn't allow them to play on their home court, they got the closest site as well.

1809? You sure? Just mapquested it at 2450 miles. Understand that by plane some of those miles are knocked out but I doubt 600 of them.

Yes, and they deserve it b/c they are a 2 seed. But Davidson should not be being extended better situation by the selection committee as a 10 seed.

This should not have happened or been set up this way.

selection committee knew that the small town of Davidson,(used to have only 2 red lights) gave the RX 2 of the greatest minds ever to post here..professor and rodfather
