Despite the claims of secularists to be all about tolerance, the sad reality is that once homosexual behavior receives any kind of legal endorsement through public policies, such policies are quickly used to silence, repress, intimidate, and punish those who affirm the Judeo-Christian tradition and what it teaches about human sexuality.

It is simply impossible for a society to embrace both legal approval of homosexuality and the Judeo-Christian tradition. And the more a culture publicly affirms the normality of gay sex, the more it will have to punish those who disagree.

This is why we must oppose discrimination policies that specifically give special protections on the basis of sexual orientation, and why we must oppose "hate crimes" laws.

Here are some recent news flashes from the frontlines of the culture war:

 •
 • A conservative evangelical Christian college in Michigan is being sued by a faculty member the college is trying to fire. The faculty member, married and the father of three children, is now claiming he is a woman, which is why the college has decided to terminate his employment. The faculty member has filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and will file a federal lawsuit if he does not prevail with the EEOC. He has been cross-dressing on campus since 2005. The college believes in the Judeo-Christian tradition's teaching that God has created just two genders, male and female, and has made no mistakes in the gender assignments each of us receives in the womb.
 • Catholic adoption agencies in England have been told that they must adopt children into homosexual households, on the basis of the new "Equality Act" that bars discrimination against gays. A similar law in Massachusetts forced Catholic Charities there to go out of the adoption business altogether, since conscience would not allow them to place children in suboptimal nurturing environments.
 • A Christian pastor in Sweden was convicted under hate speech laws for declaring that homosexuality is a "cancerous tumor on all of society." He was barely spared imprisonment by the country's Supreme Court.
 • The Knights of Columbus in British Columbia were taken before a Human Rights Tribunal for refusing to rent a hall to a lesbian couple for a "wedding" reception. They were forced to pay each woman $1,000 for offending their "dignity, feelings, and self-respect."
 • An evangelical Christian teacher, also in British Columbia, was suspended for three months from his teaching position for writing letters to the local newspaper opposing gay rights.
 • In 2005, a British bank forced an evangelical Christian group to close its account after its leaders publicly criticized homosexuality.
 • In 2005, an insurance agent in America was fired after posting his opposition to the normalization of homosexuality on the internet.
 • Last August, the Minneapolis police department suspended a police psychologist solely because he is affiliated with Focus on the Family, which promotes family values and opposes the normalization of homosexuality.
 • Two Pennsylvania grandmothers are facing 47 years in jail for spreading the gospel because of a state "hate crimes" law that is nearly identical to a federal hate crimes law that was re-introduced in Congress in January.
 • Pastors in Pennsylvania are now seeking liability insurance to protect themselves from prosecution under the "hate speech" law, which includes penalties for "harassment by communication," meaning they could be prosecuted for spoken words alone.
 • A pastor in Canada, who handed out leaflets to protest a school's decision to distribute copies of the Koran and set aside a room for Muslim students to pray during schools hours (a luxury not provided to Christian, Jewish, or Buddhist students), was convicted of having "willfully promoted hatred," placed on two years probation, and ordered to serve 340 hours of "community service" — at the Islamic Society of North America, where he was forced to undergo Islamic "re-education." When he entered court for his trial, a large crowd of Muslims chanted "Infidels, you will burn in hell," but evidently that is not considered hate speech under current Canadian law.
Make no mistake, my friends. What is at stake in our battle against political correctness — and the homosexual agenda in particular — is nothing less than freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and freedom of association.

Christians who want the freedom to continue to proclaim the gospel itself cannot afford any longer to remain silent, or to stay out of the battle, hoping that it will not come near them. It is futile for the Christian church in American to avoid public policy matters because they don't think the church should "be involved in politics," or in the vain hope that they will escape because all they want to do is "preach the gospel." That very freedom is increasingly jeopardized with every advance of the homosexual agenda.

Ah yes, political correctness and liberal feel good'ism once again usurps intellectual honesty, intellectual clarity and in some cases, even the First Amendment.

Fact: modern society has been perverted by the left.

Fact: the left takes a lot of pride in sugarcoating and bending the truth not because it benefits society but because of it's own backward First Commandment: Thou shall not offend or hurt anyone's feelings.

Fact: The American Psychological Association once classified the perverse gay lifestyle as a mental disorder -- if we were to explore gay pleasantries in graphic detail, people would be jolted back to reality and realize why -- but for some reason it was deleted in the late 60s because....well....it was the late sixties. :ohno:

I am amazed -- utterly shocked -- how the Rodney King Syndrome of liberalism will go so far as mangling and perverting traditional vocabulary -- the sexes are now called 'genders' because 'genders' are interchangeable and 'gender' gives the left moral authority to introduce other related perversions into society -- as well as silence and intimidate the voices of truth -- all in the name of their militant political agenda.

I mean, what's more important? Lying to people because we don't want to 'offend' or hurt someone's feelings? Or enlightening people with the unvarnished truth?

Whoever said "People are suckers for the truth" and "The truth shall set you free" definitely was NOT a liberal.

Liberalism stinks.

That is so true.

Everyone has their own weaknesses and vices they have to deal with. We'll all tempted and troubled by our own personal demons -- every one of us. The question is, what each of us do when we are tempted?

Do we allow ourselves to be lead into temptation by our demons? Or, do we ask the Lord to deliver us from evil?

Homosexuality is poison for the mind, body and spirit -- and anyone who says otherwise is beyond ignorant or a flat out liar with a political agenda.

I see three issues at work here:

First is the miltant homosexual agenda where their values are being forced upon us. If you disagree with the agenda, you're called a homophobe - so many of us who should vehemently disagree cower in fear of the pointing finger as those who do disagree are misquoted and reviled by the main stream media, as though they are the evils ones.

Second is the individual homosexual - many of them want to live and let live - excepting this sole sexual deviancy, many of them share our traditional American and family values. These are basically good people who have this one fault.

Finally there's the Christian approach to "hate the sin but love the sinner". We all make mistakes - some people are drunks, some cheat on their spouse, some do drugs or steal - what makes their sin more acceptable and the homosexuals sin more evil? A good Christian recognizes that these are good people who have their weaknesses, just as all of us do. We love the sinner - but we continue to adhere to our Christian values as we condemn the sin, just as we condemn adultery and drug abuse and other wrongs.

The militant homosexuals are the true evil - through their agenda they are already in our schools turning our own from the values we have taught them while recruiting our own children to their ranks - just as a heterosexual man would stalk a virgin young woman, these evil animals would stalk virgin young boys.

There are people out there who are actively working to destroy our value system for their own selfish wants. They are the evil we should fear and actively work against.

Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor's eye. (NRSV, Matthew 7:1-5)

Newsflash guys, homosexuality is not a choice. Parents can often tell their kids are gay long before that child knows what gay means....I'm not discussing the rights issue here but being gay is not a choice.

This is my favorite line.

It's hard to have a discussion with people that are misinformed - you are either born queer or you are not - when you see a nice piece of female ass I assume you physically like what you see - when queers see a nice looking piece of male ass they phsically like what they see - it's BIOLOGICAL - you do not get turned on by other men because you were not biologically born queer - it's really that simple - choice has nothing to do with anything.

Spot fucking on Seymour. I agree with you unequivocally. I have zero interest in men but at the same time, i could care less if people are gay. I hate gays about as much as i hate retard people = not in the slightest. Honestly, i know this isnt PC to say, but i think homosexuality is a form of retardation. I say this because its some sort of chemical imbalance or some other form of neurological error that you were BORN with not something you CHOOSE. I mean, who in their right mind would Choose to be gay and face the bigotry and hatred that accompanies it? Now, you have to put this into perspective. If this was allowed to be said as so...would that mean God (*Gasp) created homosexuals? This would complicate much for a Christian. Now how do you understand God creating retarded kids? What is the logic behind that form a Christian point of view? This is why the Religious Right/Left has to denounce it, because if not, it would open Pandora's box.

I hate Queers & Dykes-Ban me

Sounds like you may have some issues in your closet you need 'splainin? Why would you hate someone that you know nothing about based on their sexual preference? Seems pretty incredulous considering how sex drive is purely biological? :think2:

So you hate Gays/Drug dealers/Muslims - basically anything that doesnt fit your view of the world? In all seriousness Roadreeler, wake up brother - we are only here for a short time, spiral out and grow....dont box yourself in. When you believe in something based on just your (and those around you) experiences, you tend to have a narrow view on the world.

If someone were fired from a government funded job for being Judeo-Christian how would you feel?

So you agree freedom of speech and freedom of expression is an important human right?

So you believe teachers should be able to support any political position whether that is pro-gay or anti-gay?

Well I am upset by most of these bullet points that are brough up, it is the larger issue of civil rights, civil liberties, human rights and equality that are important. And there are extreme and unfortunate violations of these on both sides of the issue

Who's doing the judging?

This is a Christian College where they don't tolerate adultery or thievery or sodomy - such sins are against the values a Christian holds near and dear - which is why parents will pay big $ to send their children there - so what's the big deal - this MAN wants to be a woman and wear a dress and the school says "no way Jose" and everyone gets upset because the school is sticking to its values.

When I see a dog or cat or bull taking it up the ass, I'll believe that homosexuality is "natural" - until then I'll continue to believe its a perversion.

As I've noted many times - most Christians will not tolerate the sin while forgiving the sinner - just as they would do with a drunk or drug addict or thief or adulterer.

There's no hypocrisy in this.

I wonder if thats for the same kinda reasons that pig got banned by the muzzies.

You can get pretty ill with seafood, as with pork.

It's sure it's exactly why...a leader saw that people were getting trichinosis and dying from eating under cooked pork and made it illegal or an abomination to eat Pig. Good intentions but way over done.

Given the lack of attention given homosexuality in the bible, I don't get the uproar from the Christian Right on the subject. Didn't even make the big ten.
