The win allowed the Wildcats to advance to the Sweet 16 riding a 24 game win streak.
Davidson's last loss was on Dec 21st. at NC St, 66-65, they also lost to Duke 79-73, North Carolina 72-68 at UCLA 75-63 and at NC Charlotte 75-68 all during November and December.

Before anyone crowns Stephen Curry to be the best Curry to ever lace up a pair of sneakers they should take a look at his dad's career.
Dell Curry, after becoming the first player to ever have his jersey retired at Virginia Tech played ten of his 16 NBA seasons with The Charlotte Hornets and currently ranks among the franchise's all-time statistical leaders in points, games played, three-point field goals made and attempted, and three-point field goal percentage.
Frequently a top NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award vote getter Dell won the trophy after the 1993-94 season with Charlotte.
Dell Curry also also played one season for The Utah Jazz who drafted him 15th overall in the 1986 draft out of Virginia Tech, where he was voted into Hokie Atheletic Hall of Fame after graduating the Hokies all time leading scorer (at the time) in 1985..
For some reason Utah decided to deal him to The Cleveland Cavs after only one season out west, Curry then played just one season in Cleveland before being quickly grabbed in the 1989 Expansion Draft by the the brand new Charlotte Hornets where Dell starred for ten long seasons.
Curry also played a season with The Milwaukee Bucks and three seasons for The Toronto Raptors at the end of his career.
Dell Curry holds career averages of 11.7 points per game and 40.2 percent from three-point range.
Dell Curry is the all-time leading scorer for the Charlotte Hornets franchise to this day.
Curry was the last remaining member of the original Charlotte Hornet team first fielded in the 1988-89 NBA season to play in the NBA...
Dell Curry ended up his career with 12,670 points in 1083 regular season games. His .476 three point field goal % led the NBA during the 1998/99 season.
Hopefully Stephen Curry will turn out to be as good if not better than his old man. Only time will tell..
Next up for Davidson and it's prolific sophmore with his 25 PPG scoring average is the defensively tough and 3rd. seeded Wisconsin Badgers on Friday March 28th at Ford Field in Detroit...
