Facebook has a live chess app which is not too bad.

Chessmaniac, Letsplaychess and chesspark all require you to sign up and fork over some $$$ so it's very annoying.

In my honor.....LOL.
I was at the game last night and the Friday game against the Rangers....hockey is alive and well in the city right now, and with the 76ers and Villanova playing well things are good at the moment!!

Go Flyers....

Meanwhile, I found on comcast.net a link to chill games which has a cool area for backgammon and chess among other things.

Have you tried pogo.com some of their games you have to be a paid member but there are some you don't.

For Chess the best free site out there is FICS. Players of all levels and computers to play against. Tournaments, lessons, etc.

I second pogo, although sometimes when you win you will have to deal with a pissed off 13 y/o accusing you of cheating or playing with a program.
