what did yesterday teach us?

People bet the defending ws champs, and had little to no shot of winning for 8.5 innings, and then VOILA, rabbit pulled from hat? bada boom, bada bing....6-5 win....found money

A's will start there best lineup this time, and have the better pitcher going. Oritz and Lowell were sub par, and manny had all the clutch hits. I see A's having 1 big inning in this game, and being enough to win this....was debating hitting the over again, but ITS BOSTON im not sure might not pull their weight as fas as runs go....

A's had these guys on the ropes for 8 innings, i expect them to close it out this time.

Gimme the dog in this one, as we go up 2k on the year, and get the sushi breakfast money in the land of the rising sun.

If I remember right, Dsethi was $$ on 1st inning action last year. Might give it a shot a months time in. Need to find a good 4 teamer for tomorrow...any thoughts Zeke? At work at 8.

eh, zeke, careful here bud

harden SUCKS against Boston.
He's only pitched twice against them but he hasn't lasted 8 innings.... IN BOTH OF THE GAMES COMBINED!

Harden career vs. Bos:
2 GS, 0-1, 17.61 ERA, 7.2 IP, 11 H, 15 ER, 13 BB, 9 K, 4 HR

Lester career vs. Oak:
2 GS, 0-0, 4.81 ERA, 9.1 IP, 12 H, 5 ER, 8 BB, 12 K, 3 HR

The one thing that stands out at me is the 7 HRs these two have given up against each team in 17 IP. Now put them in a smaller ballpark with more pressure on two fairly young players, the ball maybe flying out of the park and the over 9.5 can hit in the 6th inning.

Yesterday I took the over w/ you but I also took Bos -1.5 (-105) like a sucker instead of just taking them for ML -168. But I had a full unit on the over and just a half on the RL so it's not all that bad.

But for game 2..... I don't know... I like the over.... I like THE CHAMPS! lol moneyline...

why you gotta be on the A's and confuse the shit out of me zeke! come on man u know i respect ur opinion! lol

and about the 2 other bets i posted yesterday, the mets and d'bax, so i get home thinking i split the games. instead i went 1-0-1. i took the mets, a winner, but then i saw that i took the brewers and not the d'bax, and the brewers tied. i was thinking hard between the brewers and dbax and totally forgot that i decided to jump on the brewers rather than the dbax.

One game in '03 and one in '04... so both over 3 years ago... has like zero relevance IMO. :103631605

Ok, fine, more stats to support my BoSox backing lol:
Harden on artificial turf:
8 GS, 3-3, 5.65 ERA, 43 IP, 48 H, 27 ER, 21 BB, 32 K, 7 HR
Lester on artificial turf:
3 GS, 1-0, 4.81 ERA, 18.2 IP, 13 H, 10 ER, 9 BB, 12 K, 4 HR

Lester's problem on turf seems to be the long ball. Almost 33% of the hits he's allowed in the short sample have left the park. But his WHIP of 1.18 is a lot better than Harden's which is 1.60. Harden, who walks his share of batters and gives up the long ball, against one of the top OBP and home run hitting teams in a small ballpark? Me likey the Red Sox lol.
