I'm banking on a high-scoring affair considering Lester/Harden have each faced the other team twice and have combined to give him 7 HRs in 17 IP.
I'm also banking on the BoSox being very confident after living up to the hype and being able to handle all the pressure bestowed upon them leading up to this series. The A's looked heartbroken and completely flustered after just one game. Their ace gets rocked in the 6th. Their closer blows the lead AND loses the game. Just when it looks like their about to mount a comeback in the bottom of the 10th, Emil Brown tries to make it to 3rd w/ 1 out, down by 1, and he gets thrown out at 3rd. His head was shaking as he slowly walked to the dugout. His manager's head was shaking. And very soon after the Red Sox were shaking each other's hands with huge smiles on their faces.

The Red Sox know they just need to win this game and they'll be on their way home to the States where they can rest it up in beautiful Los Angeles for the weekend as they play the Dodgers. The best flight they can have is one after sweeping the season opening 2-game series.

With momentum and confidence from game one and the amazing feeling they'd have after completing the 2-game sweep, I can't see THE CHAMPS! losing this game.

Red Sox ML -110, 1 Unit
Red Sox RL +135, .5 Unit
Bos/Oak o9.5 -125 1 unit

2-1-1, +1 units on the year if you check the plays I posted around the forum yesterday althought I messed up and said I took the Mets & D'Bax yesterday when infact I took the Mets & Brewers. So best thing to do is just not count anything and start from scratch.

Score of 9-6 Red Sox would be awesome!

Here are some numbers I posted in other threads...

harden SUCKS against Boston.
He's only pitched twice against them but he hasn't lasted 8 innings.... IN BOTH OF THE GAMES COMBINED!

Harden career vs. Bos:
2 GS, 0-1, 17.61 ERA, 7.2 IP, 11 H, 15 ER, 13 BB, 9 K, 4 HR

Lester career vs. Oak:
2 GS, 0-0, 4.81 ERA, 9.1 IP, 12 H, 5 ER, 8 BB, 12 K, 3 HR

The one thing that stands out at me is the 7 HRs these two have given up against each team in 17 IP. Now put them in a smaller ballpark with more pressure on two fairly young players, the ball maybe flying out of the park and the over 9.5 can hit in the 6th inning.

More stats to support my BoSox backing lol:
Harden on artificial turf:
8 GS, 3-3, 5.65 ERA, 43 IP, 48 H, 27 ER, 21 BB, 32 K, 7 HR
Lester on artificial turf:
3 GS, 1-0, 4.81 ERA, 18.2 IP, 13 H, 10 ER, 9 BB, 12 K, 4 HR

Lester's problem on turf seems to be the long ball. Almost 33% of the hits he's allowed in the short sample have left the park. But his WHIP of 1.18 is a lot better than Harden's which is 1.60. Harden, who walks his share of batters and gives up the long ball, against one of the top OBP and home run hitting teams in a small ballpark? Me likey the Red Sox lol.

As for my opening post in this thread and all the typos, can you tell I have a cold and am drugged up pretty bad?
I'm going to knockout now and am hoping to wake up to at least a 2-1 morning which would mean anything from 2-0 red sox to 5-3 Red Sox but like I said, 9-6 Red Sox would be awesome too.

As I was going to bed I figured out a very interesting strategy that would gurantee you a profit with anyyy possible outcome in this game except for an A's victory by 1-run.

Bodog has the Red Sox moneyline at -110
They also have the A's -1.5 as an alternative runline for +180.

If you put $220 on the Red Sox moneyline you'd win $200.
And if you put $150 on the A's alternative you'd win $270.

So if the Red Sox win by any amount you profit $50.
If the A's win by more than 1 run you also profit $50.

But if the A's win by just 1 run, you lose $370 lol.

I think this theory has been brought up every year, but if someone can do the research on how many times the same two teams played back-to-back 1-run games last year and send me the results, I'd love them for life.

that may be one of the worst ideas ever ^

No offense but u would be better off at Blindly betting -600 favs in any sport than doing this.....its not like losses are spare in baseball...even the best team usualy has dozens and dozens of losses....

sorry if it sounded mean...but for real..risking 370$ to pick up a measly 50$ is prolly the worse bet u can make in any sport...ur chasing for no reason....jus pick ONE SIDE and risk whatever u want.

ahhh last year i started off up like 5k... and i was betting $100 a game at first.... sooo do the math.... and ahhh yeh..... quite frankly whether i "last on therx" or not, dont mean shit to me as long as my acct is doing well. i lost 2.5 units, means SHIT considering what ive been doing on my own in college bball and spring training. its just weird how the stuff i post ends up being the plays i do really bad on. i dont know if im just being stupid and trying to do my best on the posted picks and messing up or what.

i was gona say good job calling that one but after reading this dumbass post of yours i got one question for u: the girl in ur avatar, is that the disappointed look every girl has when you approach them?

Braves, Rox, and Padres 1 unit each!
