As most of us probably know now, Bobby Huggins has his players do this when they fuck up in practice. They can't hold onto anything and have to continue sprinting for 45 seconds or fall off.

How tough do you think this is to do? I think I could do it pretty easily, but I have never tried. Anyone ever try this?

Yeah, and it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.

Most here couldn't do that. That's a 4 minute mile pace but only doing it for 45 seconds. I figure that if you can do a 6 minute mile you'll be able to do 15mph for 45 seconds, but just barely.

shorter legs would make it easier, which is why most basketball players would have a tough time doing this.

I don't see what that has to do with it. As long as you can do 1 lap in around a minute you can do this.

I bet a boy scout could do it if Johnny Knockdown was chasing him.

1. Coach of a major college basketball program has his players do this when they "fuck up" in practice. It's safe to assume it's something very physically taxing, thus being a price to pay for fucking up.

2. You think you could do this but have never tried: are you of roughly the same physical talent or physical condition as a Div I college basketball player?

3. Yeah, you could do it easily. Go try it right away.

It's obviously difficult if Huggy Bear is using the threat of it as a deterrent to making mistakes in practice. Kinda speaks for itself

well I was a track star in high school and college. I have national age records and All American certificates on my wall. I would say I have some physical talent.

sounds very difficult to me.

I'd bet very few baseball players could do it.

I'd also bet the vast majority of 17-18 year olds right out of high school couldn't do it, unless they were track jocks.

As levi said, that's just doing one lap in 60 seconds, except you only have to do 3/4 of the lap (which is a hell of a lot easier)

If it's really only 24 seconds, I'd laugh at anyone complaining about it

Sounds like a nice policy until one of his players get injured doing it. Then he'll look like an a-hole and probably get the university sued.

This is very very easily doable. It does suck, but 99% of MLB players can do it, most nfl linemen can do it, and I can do it. (6'3 230)

The more I think about this, the more I come to this conclusion :

Randomly select 1,000 male high school seniors, who should be about 17, I doubt they get any faster as they age.

I think under 100 could do this.

or make it easier, see if they can run freestyle on a track, and hit 15mph, I'd still take under 10% doing it.

99% of MLB players can do it ? Did you make that stat up ?

Roughly 1,000 MLB players, only 10 can't do it ?

let me see guys like Ramirez,Giambi, any catcher, tons of fat ass pitchers, most 1st basemen, do this !
