Not racist but they really should just leave race out of it. Say they aren't athletic if you want, but no reason to bring race into it.

I think Love ends up being an above average pro, Hansbrough average to slightly below average

True, and not racist.

What is this world coming to if people seriously think this is racist?

Not racist... I mean it's true, he's not discriminating on race he's using facts as a basis for his discrimination. Still, he could have definitely left race out of it since the country is the way it is.

It is racist... As someone who is not white, it is important for minorities to show the same respect when discussing "white people" as they would want from others. I am not trying to make a federal case out what he said. I just feel, to eradicate racism, all parties have to be fair.

I think that is a stand up thing for someone that is not white to say. And you are completly correct. Personally I feel that people need to lighten up a little when it comes to race relations. Don't get me wrong, there is some flat out racism but what this guy said and alot of what gets made into a big deal just isn't. But you are correct, if people are going to make a big deal out of things when Rush Limbaugh says it than it can't be fine when a minority says the same things. People like Charles Barkley regularly talk about white people, which being a white guy, I really couldn't care less that he says it, but if your going to say it than you can't be angry when it's the other way around.

By the way, I don't care if he's black or not, what he said was accurate. Fact is white guys just don't play basketball as well as black guys. I don't know why, but it's just a fact. You can't get mad at people when they state facts, even if it is race related. Everyone in this country is so scared of talking about race I can't stand it. Maybe if we as a country talked about it more often there wouldn't be such a problem.

Espn should immediately fire the black guy on that show.

Completely outrageous what he said. If a white guy referred to a black person in the same context about any subject, his office would have been packed before the following morning.

Agree that people sometimes need to lighten up about this subject. However, this video is much further than what should be considered reasonable boundaries about discussing race.

I dont have a problem with what he said but I do agree that if it were the other way around it would cause a major uproar. I dont think you can have a double standard

That was just as racist as someone saying that Black Managers in baseball and Black Head coaches in football and black head coaches in basketball have a terrible track record of success. How many have won titles in the NBA, MLB and the NFL? Tony Dungy?

Both are true. The only difference is that if a white guy said the above he would be fired by ESPN in about 2 seconds. Double standard anyone?

He says Laettner had no career in the nba. He played like 13 seasons, averaged 13 and 7 over his career. Not too bad imo

His name is rob parker. this is from a blog:

If you reside in Detroit, you definitely know who were talking about. Detroit is home to Parker, who is widely regarded as the worst columnist in America.

100% should be fired. as much as i could care less about the statement, if a white guy said 'black qbs have a bad track record of success, blah blah, hang your hat on doug williams', talk radio and these bloggers w/ no lives heads would be exploding.
