The Match-up Committee needs both candidates to post in this thread that they are aware of winning their spots in week two's competition and are willing to begin anytime after Tuesday's lines are posted, which should be sometime Monday evening in the:

SPECIAL NOTE: THIS WEEK'S CONTEST WILL BE POSTED RIGHT HERE IN THE OFFSHORE FORUM WITH RECORDS AND STANDINGS ETC. KEPT TRACK OF IN THE CONTEST FOLDER.

A thread with the contest rules will be posted and a post in that thread for each contestant containing their own personal games will be posted by Jake Thompson or myself sometime late Monday Afternoon or as soon as the appropriate lines are available.

Railbird and OldManTed kindly make a post in this thread no later than Midnight Pacific on Sunday March 30th. that you are good to go. Should either contestant not post or decide to back out The Contest Match-up Committee will write in a replacement contestant as per pre-posted rule.

The winner receives a free 60 day subscription to Rx Odds (a $198 value)...

Regarding Railbird..

I sent an email to Railbird to remind him he has to acknowledge that he has been voted in as a contestant this week -- #5.. The email contains a link to this thread and explains he has to acknowledge he is in against OMT by posting in this thread.

Hopefully he will post that he is in by Midnight Pacific tonight.

If not, if there are any volunteers to take on OldManTed starting Tuesday April 1st. (ONLY if Railbird does not acknowledge he is in according to contest rule in this thread). Volunteers to take Railbird's place on an IF basis can post in this thread starting now. Posters who have already played during the first 4 weeks (win or lose) are not eligible.

I will run a quick poll on Monday for the volunteers, the poll will include the first five to post "I want to volunteer to compete against OldManTed next week" - most votes by posting body in poll wins.

Well I guess there is no need for a poll. Railbird ignored the thread and my email (if he received it) and is declared ineligible for the contest by rule unless he has a very good excuse (another rule)..In any case he is out for this week for certain.

New Match-up beginning Tuesday night OldManTed Vs. Cusipz.

Jake Thompson will post the match-ups sometime Monday evening. Very soon we will be forced to add baseball into the daily match-ups as college basketball for all intents and purposes is done as far as the contest goes..
