I don't think that anyone believes that they will win or even compete for the division, but the public perception of them is that they will be very bad. Hard to argue after seeing a lineup with Bengie Molina 4th and Randy Winn 3rd. However, I believe bettors looking for value will find some with this team, as their starting pitching will keep them in a lot of games.

Matt Cain was only 7-16 last year, but had very solid numbers. He was not supported very well by his offense, with SF only scoring 3.1 runs per game for him, but I think the Giants are available at a very fair price tonight.

SF is available at +154 at Matchbook. I will bite.

Rest of plays are here:

Good luck everyone.

Definetly agree that there is a ton of value in the SF play but as you noted, will they ever hit? The lineup is terrible so to win they will need a 2-1 or 3-2 type victory.
Good luck

Horrible team. Worst in the NL. They only have ONE regular player who could start for any other NL team. ONE!

There has to be at least one team that would take 2 or 3 players. Now, granted, there aren't many teams that would hit Randy Winn third, but I would say maybe 3 players - Rowand, Molina, and maybe Winn.

They are perceived to be and chances are they will not be very good. Will they lose 100? Maybe, but at an average price of +175 (assuming they go 62-100), betting on them every game will net you a profit, and it is crazy to think you would not pick your spots with them. Their pitching will keep them in games, and most of the time, they will get juicy prices.

There are always teams that surprise, especially early getting fat prices.

Moline could start for a few teams, you are correct. Winn however, likely would not, or should not. He won't give production above your best AAAA guys.
